Reckless play. Are we supposed to like this?

Typical Flames junk on the part of Nystrom. Can't take a clean hard hit without needing to fight about it.

Bit of a bush league move on the part of Fistric but always good to see a Flame get clocked.

This season might not be so bad after all... hopefully we get 1st overall pick and calgary misses the playoffs and vancouver loses in the 1st round.

"we". speak for yourself. there isnt some "moral majority" anyone needs to adhere to.

frankly, Nystrom deserved it. idiot is starting a fight with a guys back turned to him. and like the FISTS wouldnt hurt more than a stupid helmet. the plastic is so reflexive, and theyre so light. it was probably a light sting at best.

"BUT IT WAS A HELMET!!! punching a guy is so much more NOBLE and TRADITIONAL!" yawn.

It would hurt quite a bit more to get smashed on the back of the head with a helmet being swung at full speed than a fist that could barely make it to the target at that angle.

It just looked like his hand got caught in the straps. It's not like he took the helmet and kept pounding Nystrom with it...

I highly doubt it was intentional.

And most of the league expects their players to fight, even when the hits are clean.
I dont like it, but its expected.

Looks more like an accident than anything. I don't think Fistric would actually expect to get away with doing that intentionally.

We need a guy or two that play like that. Too many players that play some sort of honor code.

Almost reminds me of this...

Although I don't think Fistric was trying to hit him with the helmet, looks like it get stuck on his hand.

Fistric was a bit of nut when he was in the WHL. He broke his jaw twice and he never seemed to go back to that nasty way he used to play maybe this is a sign he will do just that.

You should be allowed to beat a player with his own helmet. Its a fight.

Exactly as long as you use their equipment to beat them with.

I loved it. Would have been sweeter if he had kept it in his hand and clobbered him right into the ice with it. lol

It's the Flames. You should be able to pull a fish bat out of your hockey pants and club them until they stop twitching.
