bmcnally14: #Caps officials: Mike Green can't appeal his 3-game suspension. Matt Bradley missed practice today, but is expected to play Sunday.

All I really want to see is if Downey wants to mess with Ovechkin for someone to target Stamkos or St Louis or Lecavalier for the same sort of attention.

yeah it's pretty ridiculous.

Good thing this deal is going on during the earlier hours or HF would be going down.

Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. The Phaneuf talk has been going on for a while. I doubt Calgary fans are going to like the return

If they get Kaberle, Kadri, and something else, I wouldn't be totally against it as a Flames fan. Phaneuf is overrated. They could actually use a bit of the cap relief to go and get something else.

Phaneuf has more fans on these boards than just about any player not named Ovy or Crosby. There are going to be LOTS of people upset when they find out how much GMs actually value him.

As someone said pregame entertainment. Not a shocker if Phaneuf gets moved given the issues and the Flames struggles. And Burke isn't the type to wait for the deadline and works for an org. That can take on salary.

Curious to see the details of these deals.

Ah nice. Something to pass the "family" time before workout and caps game.

Seems like burke is forming a 2010-11 roster more than anything. But the picks are flying out of leaf nation.
He better get some back come deadline.

it does allow the Flames to make some moves though. 4 guys with manageable deals who they could move on if they want.

Way to go Burke. He has now successfully taken the Leafs out of the running for any quality UFA by adding ~ $10 million in cap hits next season. So no top 5 pick, no UFAs to add, and even thinner scoring. Brilliant.

I was thinking along those lines as to which players Sutter wants vs flipping a player in another deal??? Mobile so can't get details but is Sjostrom signed past this season? If not same for Burke.
