Just got home but it looks like the anti-fail is continuing again with Eric Staal leading the way. How have we looked?
For the most part good. The Islanders actually had some good pressure in the first. A powerplay goal and a sneaky one from the boards were the difference. The second was back and forth with all of 8 shots taken total...
Guys with nagging injuries when we started the season like Staal, Brindy and Sammy are healthy, Ward is back on his game and our D are somehow not sucking as much as the beginning of the season. Plus having Sutter up, taking some of Brindy's old minutes and keeping the former captain fresher for the time he is on the ice, and you have my long feared race for 9th in the conference.
It is fun to win though, I'm not sure I can root for them to stop winning.
