I'd called it when I said, "I hope it isnt a torn ACL"
& according to the Coyotes staff I talked with this afternoon at the job, it is in deed a major tear. I have some concerns about recovery, when you operate on a knee (First hand from my surgery last March) you knee is never the same, and when you have a speed guy like Uppy, it's even more critical for that knee to be as close to 100%. It might scrub off some of his top end speed. But I just hope he is ready come training camp.
I actually think its been hurt pretty bad for a while. There's been a few times over the last several games where he went down and looked to have really hurt his knee, his skating hasn't seemed the same the last little bit to me either. If its just his acl I'm not too concerned, its the laterals that really hurt long term for hockey I think. They say acl surgery now usually makes the knee at least as strong as it was originally.
