Have you seen movie Fargo? I would not want to live in a city where everyone says "yeah?" every other second.

Limping is not good. As long as he recovers fully by the playoffs, I don't really care.

He approached people and initiated convo, very nice person.

You (or anyone else) didn't happen to ask him about it, did you?

I actually did (when he was sitting down) and he said "I'm close" when I asked when he was going to return. But he definitely had quite the hitch in his giddy-up

Mitchell told me he was close around Halloween the year he broke his leg during camp (or maybe around Thanksgiving, mmmmmmm Thanksgiving). He said around 2-3 weeks.

David Pollak says:
February 26th, 2010 at 3:49 pm 136..ScSharksFan,

I had been hoping to get something a little more definitive on Marc-Edouard Vlasic before writing anything, but since you and others have asked, here’s what I’ve got now (and if you see this in a later posting, pretend like its news, OK?):

Vlasic has been working out at Sharks Ice to rehab his lower body injury — a tweaked knee — but not yet skating. Initially, there was a thought that a surgical procedure might be necessary, but that was not the case and it’s strictly a matter of rehab time. Things are progressing well, I’m advised.

Don’t expect to see him in the lineup immediately after the Olympic break, but do expect to see him playing in a reasonable number of regular season games before the playoffs begin.

Sharks put Vlasic on IR. (Pollak checking to see if that's the LTIR which would give them some cap space.)

It's almost been 10 games, right? Would make sense to LTIR it if need be.

I can't think of any reason he would go on regular IR and not LTIR. It's not like they need the roster spot. So my assumption would be that he is going on the LTIR.

And they are counting on Marc-Edouard Vlasic coming back in time for a decent run-up to the playoffs.

Wilson noted the confidence in Marc-Edouard Vlasic’s health was another reason he felt comfortable standing pat.

“He’ll be back for at least the last 10 to 11 games,” said Wilson.

Last night Randy and Drew indicated (during pregame) that Vlasic would be out perhaps 7-10 "more" games.

Yet, Vlasic skated practice on Friday (non-contact drills). And will be traveling with team on this upcoming 6-game road trip. He could return sometime during this trip.

Somebody asked him last night while he was signing autographs after the game how much longer he would be out. "Two weeks" was the reply.
