If I was Laviolette, no matter what the outcome of the game is, I would use the post game interview to call out the league for this terrible officiating, I wouldn't care if I got fined... what's $10,000? It would all be worth it to give a big verbal middle finger to this awful league.
Blargh, I'm not going to call conspiracy theory, but it feels like we only ever get screwed over by the refs. It's been a long time since we've gotten any gifts; hopefully the crap we get now will result in better karma down the line.
I hope we don't see another swing in momentum resulting in another loss. This is getting ridiculous.
The officiating in this league just continues to amaze me.
Fraser signals goal, indicates to Roloson that the puck was behind him before contact (which it was) and then after the islanders complain and the refs stand around for 2 minutes somehow they finally decide it was interference. It makes NO sense.
I hope that one day all the NHL refs have a meeting that they all have to attend and are on the same flight and the plane crashes and burns. That's the only way anything will change about the officiating in this league.
