Red Dead Redemption looks amazing

This game wasn't even on my radar until I watched this video. The gameplay, grapchis and most importantly the physics look incredible. It's a shame we have to wait until April 27th to play it.

Looks like Rockstar has another winner of a franchise on their hands.

I've been waiting for this since Rockstar bought the rights to Read Dead Revolver. It's a shame its been such a long wait. Hopefully it will be worth it.

Reminds me of Gun.

Which isn't a bad thing. I loved that game.

This game looks fantastic, I hope they add an RPG element to it and allow you to make some vital choices.

That's what I was thinking of too, actually of all Western themed video games, Gun is easily the best, but this one looks like to pwn all the western games out there, it just looks beautiful:

Have you played the first game? Red Dead Revolver was a short but REALLY fun game. The multiplayer in the game made the game one of the best I've played.

::edit::

WOW. They dramatically improved the dead eye targeting system. Man is that friggin cool.

Was it not rockstar that put out the original Red Dead?

Gun is one of my favourite games of last generation, if this is as good but longer I will be thrilled.

Yeah it was, for some reason I thought it was Capcom that made it. weird.

edit: it was originally a Capcom title that was dropped due to some project stability issues and was then picked up, finished and released by Rockstar.

Sniper rifles were first used in the Napoleonic Wars, not in the US Civil War

I have nothing to add to the actual topic

Im a huge western fan have been since a small kid, Lucasarts Outlaws was the first and far as I am concerned the best of all time.

Anyway this looks kinda like GTA meets the wild west which would make sense because of who is making it and how successful GTA was, I am looking forward to this one.

Outlaws didn't stand the test of time. It's a crappy game by today's standards.

Yep..I'm also a big Western fan and I really can't wait for this one.

I played the Call of Juarez demo thinking maybe I'd buy it to tide me over until RDR but it was a total POS.

The vid says they were popularized in the Civil war, not first used.

Game looks incredible.

Not really, no.

Lots of games from that era completely stand-up. Outlaws (along with Doom and the first Quake) are absolutely broken. They're unplayable to me.

Mafia 1 was a PS2 game right? I remember renting it and playing it for likd 2 minutes and either hating it, or not knowing what to do. I would imagine the new one is going to be open to newcomers to the series, so I'll definitely check it out.

Name me a couple of fps that do?

Quake is probably one of the more important fps ever it never was nor is broken it just was released over a decade ago. None of these games are going to stand the test of time because technology has become so advanced and times have changed.
