Jeez, Foligno goes down and there's talk of needing to acquire someone to replace him? It's Foligno. 8 goals? Shannon or Regin can replace him. Regin would be an upgrade.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that either would be an upgrade at this point, but scoring winger is certainly a position of depth this season.

Move Regin up to help Fisher and Kovalev produce. Put Winchester back into the lineup at centre on the 4th line with Cheechoo and Shannon. Then our best face-off men are all playing C (Spezza, Fisher and Winchester).

Next 8 Weeks (Starting with Sunday Jan. 31st)

WeekSunMonTueWedThuFriSat
1 @BUF VAN @TOR
2 CGY WSH @DET
3@NYI
4
5 NYR @CAR TOR
6 @EDM @CGY @VAN
7 TOR @ATL @DAL
8 @MTLPHI @BUFFLA

Home: 8
Road: 11

I think its big that the game against the Caps is atleast at SBP and not Verizon, while the Sens have struggled on the road, and its a road-heavy next 8 weeks its good for it to atleast be against some teams that are looking to either trade off their star or outside looking in with Dallas, Edmonton, Calgary, Atlanta, and Carolina on the road schedule. 5 back-to-backs though

Foligno, looking to next season... is he a top 6 in that organization or is someone like Regin supposed to surpase him eventually?

What's Foligno's upside?

I think you have to look at trading Winchester. Shannon seems to be highly thought of by the staff and management otherwise he'd be equally as likely to be dealt and I feel Z. Smith is a great option to add depth to the team at a great cap hit.

He will not be back when the break is over. Will be another 3 weeks. He was still on crutches after the Washington game and was not expecting to go too far during the break so he can concentrate on his recovery.

Ok, so when you say 3 weeks, this is from here ? Or 3 weeks + the break ?

I'm just glad he'll get in a few weeks before the playoffs to get his game back, I think he's gonna be huge for us this postseason.

X rays are good, he has healed fine. He just needs to get in game shape as he is skating at the Sensplex. He will return next Tuesday.

Right on track, it's been 6 weeks. If we were talking about alfie, he would have been back 2 weeks ago.

Awesome news. With Foligno in the lineup, we are soooo stacked on offense.

Foligno and offence seems odd..

Its true though I cant wait to get him back, hes one of those guys that contributes to the serious depth we got going on. Him and Fish were money together on the boards before injury, hopefully he brings it fast as he was playing his best hockey before injury.
