With all these crazy deals, im actually glad the sens are doing well, and are unlikely to make any trades soon.

The Rangers need two GMs

Sather for trades and new GM for UFA signings

Sutter must have something up his sleeve, hes trade two star players and replaced them with crap.

Is he going after Kovalchuk?

is today like "dump your crappy players for our crappy players" day?

I dont see how these trades really help either team involved.

the rangers make out like bandits, Kotalik has 2 more years at 3.0 M while Jokinen is on his last year at 4.0 M, plus they dump Higgins who is crap.

I just woke up - I'm wondering if I've woken into a madhouse, or if Sutter has Gone off the deep end.

Is he going to show up raving about his players replaced by pod-people or something?

Edit: What about Cheechoo for someone? Iginla before the white-coat guys show up?

Maybe, but with the centers he has now and all the spare parts he's acquired, I'd put my money on him going after Lecavalier

I agree they suck right now, but they have proven in the past that they can be star players and big impact players, you can't deny that.

Phaneuf had one awesome year, so did Mesz. I think they got tired of him, it could be right or wrong but they clearly didnt like the way he was headed which was down.

Olli has been a disaster since he was traded there. Hell he didnt even work out in Phoenix. I find it a bit alamring the amount of times he has been traded recently, he just doesnt seem to be a guy you can count on when your team needs you.

Jokinen at his worst is still miles better than Kotalik and Higgins. Kotalik is a healthy scratch on a team that is by no means deep, and he is signed for two more years at $3 million. He has negative trade value. Higgins isn't exactly impressing anyone with 14 pts in 54 games.

What an awful, awful trade. Jokinen could have fetched something good as a deadline overpayment. Instead, the Flames get two scrubs, one of whom still has a $7 million pricetag.

I'd say he had three excellent years before things turned sour last year. Meszaros was never close to as good, except in Fuhr's imagination.

i disagree, i rather have Kotalik at 3 then Olli at 4.

I dont think a team can win with Olli, i think it comes down to more than number with Jokinen. Watching Flames games he is more often then not a non factor he doesnt seem to have another gear and his teams havent done well in the past.

Your nuts.

Id rather have Jokinen at 4 for this year then rather have Kotalik at 3 for the next 2 years.
