I for one, am happy to see Prust in a Ranger uniform. Having Center Ice the last few years...I've gotten to watch a lot of Calagry games. I've always took notice of Prust for his hard-nosed play and willingness drop the gloves. Prust is a legitimate hard-as-nails middle-weight. The guy can throw with the best of them. He has fought NHL heavyweights and you could say he more than held his own.. Voros is willing...but he's a human punching bag. Prust is willing and able, and rarely loses. If he does lose a fight...he looks good doing it. He has a lethal upper-cut that has bloodied a few guys. Prust may very well end up being a fan favorite. NYR fans tend to gravitate to gritty, in your face players (i.e. AVERY). A very good portion of Calgary's fan-base are sad to see him go.

Olli doesn't sound too pleased... he wasn't expecting to be traded...

Slap in the face to be traded, wanted to end his career in Calgary.

But he says he's excited to go back to the Eastern Conference and play with Gaborik.

He's probably more upset about twisting in the breeze the last 24 hours as well as suiting up tonight knowing he's as good as gone.

Not if he costs us a top pick for yet another awful first round playoff loss. Besides, it isn't the next few months that I'm worried about. It's the potential of the next few years that scares me.

That said I wonder what they will say to each other once Jokenin enters the locker room. Also, Sting it could be worse. We coulda traded for Scott Gomez again..your favorite player
That's about the only way it could be worse. Gomez and Jokinen have been #1 and #2 on my most overrated list for years now.

Sutter's big-picture better be something epic with the crap he's pulled.

Jokinen:

-"I wasn't expecting to get moved but it's part of the business, I need to move on and focus on the game tomorrow."

-"You got to play hard every time you go on the ice no matter what kind of distractions you have going on. You play for the logo."

-"I gotta turn the page and move on."

-"It's a brutal business, that's the way it goes...It's a slap in the face to get traded."

-"Excited to go back to the Eastern Conference, original 6 team, Gaborik. Know the coach very well...he coached against me alot."

-"I just heard the news 5 minutes ago."

I think you have to face it that with gaborik and lundqvist, its going to be hard to get a high first round pick. And as far as the next few years, Jokinen is a UFA at season's end clearing $5.5 million in cap space. As long as sather doesnt screw up with that money then its all good and well.
