Thank goodness for the netting now - fans on the Canes offensive end would have been under siege from the failed shot attempts. That was either lag, tank or "lets get back to getting a high draft pick."

Ugly game, and a little chippy too - anyone see gleason get pitchforked early on? I wouldn't be surirpised if that's what got Comrie the penalty a few minutes later...

There were two guys on Ward's side of the ice too. He took the shooting lane and Pitkanen had the passing lane with both his guys were side-by-side. Cullen nearly broke up the pass coming in late. It was a poor play all around but Pitkanen made the costly mistakes on the play despite the apparent muscle memory blame that immediately goes to Ward.
