There were two guys on Ward's side of the ice too. He took the shooting lane and Pitkanen had the passing lane with both his guys were side-by-side. Cullen nearly broke up the pass coming in late. It was a poor play all around but Pitkanen made the costly mistakes on the play despite the apparent muscle memory blame that immediately goes to Ward.
