Wow, 3-0 Leafs over the Devils. That makes that Win yesterday more comfortable.

Vancouver finally got called for diving. Kesler was touched leaving the zone and went down like he was shot.

A few minutes later Samuelsson got a penalty for clearly highsticking MAB. On his way to the box he argued it was a dive.

**** Vancouver.

They got 2 diving penalties last night. Nothing new though.

Giordano just send Pitkanen violently into his own bench with a hit. Pitkanen looked helpless. What a hit.

EDIT: Holy crap. Pitkanen's skate sliced Staal's face. Bad cut, but he'll be okay. It could have been much worse.

Don't think we have to worry about catching up to Toronto. They're going to be trying awful hard to win their remaining games, and I think they'll definitely win more of what they have left than us.

Good thing for him. After he basically called out the media and fans the other day, fans were pretty pissed off with him.

I follow all 30 NHL official twitter people. 29 of them seem pretty professional with their tweets, etc.

Calgarys guy/girl is hilarious. I think it's a 16 year old kid they hired.

Calgarys first goal last night: "Curtis Scorefaceeee!!!!!!"

And OV officially takes over the scoring race. Good. It looked so wrong seeing a Canuck up there, and Ovechkin played less games too.

Another laser pointer incident. This time in the Washington-NY Rangers game. It was aimed at Jose Theodore in the last minute of the game.

Bruins really getting exposed this year along with Tim Thomas who I could never figure having the best save % in the NHL.

Looks like some shooters have adjusted, are getting the puck up high. Tuuka Rask is now looking better.

Boston could easily miss the playoffs this year. Lost again today to the Nucks.

Rask has been in net for the last two losses, and both goalies haven't won in a long time... Rask since December, if I remember correctly. To pin the Bruin's problems on goaltending just isn't accurate. With Savard out a lot, their offense is lost completely. And Chara is having a pretty slow year.

They kept the wrong player (re: Lucic over Kessel - and I'm a fan of Lucic).

Fuuny. Flames fans were crying about Kotalik and now their crying b/c he got ejected for not tying his strap down.

What is it with Edmonton? Kotalik has been playing very phsyical in CGY. Layed a huge hit tonight and a few against the Canes.

I guess their other tough players rub off on him.

Who do we have? Tammy?

Well, if Kotalik consistently put up this effort in New York he wouldn't be in Calgary right now. It's not going to last. He makes the effort for a few games and then disappears for weeks on end.

Check Kotalik out again post Olympics by which time "his don't give a crap should have returned" This guy can't seem to get his game together anywhere and i wouldn't bet on it in Calgary.

Lol. Kotalik has a couple of good games and suddenly it looks poorly on the Oilers. I don't get it.

The Oilers have severe problems no doubt. They would have been even further amplified if we had signed Kotalik to that ridiculous contract.

Last season Tim Gump Thomas had the highest save percentage in the league which was one of the strangest things I'd ever seen considering his very unorthodox style. I wondered out loud how long it would take shooters to adjust and put it upstairs. Its happening more now and his save percentage is now worse than Rask. Not by a lot but Thomas needs a new toolbox. By next year he'll be ground into pulp.

It ain't rocket science, go high, amazed Thomas isn't being burned by now.

Yup, Thomas covers the bottom of net well with his unorthodox style but when the puck is high he's in trouble.

Ottawa 0 @ Toronto 5 - 3rd period
Carolina 2 @ NY Islanders 1 - 3rd period
New Jersey 1 @ NY Rangers 3 - 3rd period
Buffalo 0 @ Columbus 4 - 3rd period
Chicago 2 @ St. Louis 0 - 2nd period

Most teams that are supposed to win are leading with the exception of St. Louis.
