Dont need nor want this guy.
Would take him if we can clear more salary, but that doesnt seem to be what the jackets are looking for.

Torres has 16 goals. Wouldn't that put him in 2nd on the team?

Yeah and still less than half the amount of goals Gaborik has.
Rangers up for biggest depth in the league award? Surely Pittsburgh doesn't deserve that.

Olli Jokinen's cap hit is listed as $1.877M. Why is his cap hit so much lower than his salary?
That number is his prorated cap hit for the remainder of the season, not his total cap hit for the year.

Didn't The Jackets want Redden when he was a ufa? Maybe they can be conned with a pick and prospect for Torres ?

Probably pro-rated based on him only playing the last third of the season for the Rangers. See how Kotalik's cap hit is 1.927 instead of 3.0? It's prorated.

Either that or you're looking at Jussi Jokinen (I have no idea what his cap hit is)

If we're dealing Rozsival for Torres we could use a cheap vet back. Maybe Hejda could use a change of scenery. That loses us 3 mil total off the books next year/

Not really, man. I love this type of player, but I'd much rather somehow get a tough stay at home defense man.

OH THE HORROR!!! One of his eyes is a bug-eye, and the other is a lazy eye
I'd trade Rozsival or Redden for him obviously but if anything of value goes back for Torres I'll be pissed

What about something like Modin + Torres for Redden? Total of 5.5 million coming back who will be UFA's at year end. If Columbus was interested in Redden before maybe they are again now?
I know its a dream.

I would love it to be something like:
Torres + Hejda for Roszival + Brashear + Sauer/2nd
or
Torres + Commodore for Roszival + Brashear + Potter
I think Commodore is more likely available, but Hejda would be great, and he's significantly cheaper than Rozy.
I'd be willing to sweeten it slightly more than Sauer or Potter to get them to take on Brashear.
