More Cammalleri Radio talk

Hey guys,

Here's a post I did with links to two Cammalleri interviews today on Toronto radio, and a couple other Cammi tidbits.

Listening to his candid talk on the Habs, free agency/contract negotiations and the NHL in Canada, along with last weeks media appearances, you'd think he's running for captain

Cammalleri is such a charismatic individual. He would be a very good captain for media purposes. Although, for the locker room, we cannot know, only suppose I appreciate that he seems to take Subban under his wing... great individuals and players hanging together, who can oppose?

Only thing I don 't like about Cammalleri is how his voice cracks.

You got to love his work ethic to. Not only in the NHL but how he got here. A class act through and through.

I don't want to sound like a jerk but it seems to me like he really wants the captaincy, meaning he's kind of going out of his way to prove that he's the guy. There isn't anything wrong with that but usually players have the mentality of "I would be honoured if I got it, but I'm not worried about that now" whereas it seems like he's thinking "I really wanna be the captain."

And you're basing your opinions on...?

I've seen it all. He's available to the medias, people say he wants the C too much. Had he decided to run away from them, I guess he wouldn't have what it takes neither?

The guy is politically correct and textually said that he would be honoured to get it, but stated that there are many good leaders and that there are many good choices in the lockerroom.

You're digging for something that's not there.

Even if he were, that's a bad thing? To want to be the guy to shoulder most of the responsibility? You're actually turning that into a bad thing? Since when is someone working hard to attain something prestigious honour negative?

I have a feeling that by the time Cam is done here he'll be my all-time favorite Hab.

That reminds me of those footages of Cammalleri trying to shake things up in practice in front of the cameras

It didnt look natural at all

When he clashed with Gorges? Anything else I don't remember?

Give me a break. Like if he cared about the cameras. And like if anybody would look "natural" when they're angry.

And is it a coincidence, or did Gorges actually got his game to another level after this altercation?
