According to this site (dunno if it is reliable), Gauthier would be looking for a trade with the Nucks for Bieksa, the money back would be "a good prospect", Bieksa's coming would be a plan B if Markov injury last longer. Then another rumor, still from the same site send Langebrunner to Montreal. The Devils need to get rid of a big salary, and Gauthier would be willin to pair Lange+Gomez+Gionta like it was with the Devils several years ago.
Where would the cap room come from to add 6+ mil in cap hits in those 2 players?

Well, I doubt it would happen. But I would be furious if we dealt Tinordi for Bieksa.

Anyways, we don't have the cap space to add Bieksa unless Hamrlik or Spacek is part of the deal. And that's unlikely..

f-f-f-f-f-f-**** NO! We traded up to get him before Vancouver could, why would we then turn around and trade him to Vancouver.

There is just no way that it happens. That's how rumors are started. At least the intelligent phony rumor starters do in fact their research. Obviously remembered or read that Vancouver had some interest in Tinordi. And replace a D for a D.

It will not happen. McDonagh was traded for a significant player AND because they kinda of reviewed the opinion they had on him at the time.

How the hell can you trade a guy you still think the world of, especially for Kevin Bieksa. While there is some research in that rumor, it still makes no sense whatsoever.

I really hope PG isn't stupid enough to do a trade like that... Sounds more like wishful thinking from a Canuck fan if you ask me..

Rumor has it that Atlanta is walking away from Clark McArthur's 2.4 mil arbitration award and he is now a UFA.

I can see him signing for around 1.7-2 mil as a UFA, he's only 25 and has 44 goals in 208 NHL games. I wouldn't mind signing him for 2 years 3.5 mil.

THIS!

Pouliot - Gomez - Gionta
Andrei K - Plekanec - Cammy
MacArthur - Eller - Boyd
Moen - Lapierre - Pyatt

Sign him and Price and we're good to go

MacArthurt was a minus player last year with Buffalo. One of the only players. At that he was -14. Not interested.

Tinordi better not be traded. We traded a 1st and a 2nd rounder to get him and MacMillan. There's no way Gauthier turns around after that and trades him away.

Which is why I doubt Tinordi gets traded. In fact I think it's pretty obvious that it is a made up rumor. if it is true than I don't know what to say. I like Bieksa, but not at the cost of Tinordi, especially since Bieksa has one year left on his deal.

Young players that perform better than they are paid are the key to any successful team so it would be dumb for us to trade Tinordi.

Cap wise it makes no sense. We would need to trade Hamrlik somewhere else just to fit Bieksa. and Bieksa is not worth any of our top 10 prospects just for 1 year of him. if we are looking at a playoff spot this trade deadline we might make a push for him, if we are sellers we might trade Hamr, but I don't see us acquiring anyone else without shipping someone of high cap value out first.

I like Bieksa but for Tinordi it would be dumb. I don't think the Habs have a need for a right D to begin with.

Yes, it would be dumb. If Hammer was traded, they could play Bieksa on the right and put Spacek back on the left side though... if we're just talking about where he COULD fit in without the prerequisite of trading Tinordi for him. Would shave $2M off the cap and make the defense a bit younger (and arguably better, as much as I like Hamrlik).

We have O'Byrne, Subban, Gorges on the right. And next season I think Webber and Carle will get a serious tryout too(it's now or never for both). Other than Markov, it's wide open on the left. As for Spacek, I think he's useless. A good option if Bieksa would come would be to move Gorges on the left. I would dump Hamrlik and Spacek regardless.
