I notice that too, and thought it was awesome. He would just naturally gravitate towards the front of the net. He didn't get out of position chasing the puck. He covered that net. That was his home and he owned it. He directed his own teammates to do the chasing while he stayed in position. As a result, when Phaneuf was on the ice, no Devil player got to sneak in the backdoor, or screen Giguere. That's something we haven't seen a lot of this year.

I hope he keeps that up.

I am still scratching my head how you were able to acquire Phaneuf without giving up Schenn in the process

^Yeah we're sneaky like that.

If Dion can be Dion, and Schenn can model his game like Shea Weber (which is what he tries to do anyway) I'd say we have a very dangerous pairing in the future... not like they haven't already made an impact, I just want to see consistent domination.

Oh you know what's fun too? Go to the trade rumours board and search for Phaneuf proposals. Hehe.

Let him play his game and give him a solid leadership role on your club, and I think he will do just fine for you for many years to come.

Schenn was called up to play with Weber

Schenn was called up to room with Weber so he could be around him and then he would be in their line up next season when Weber moved on.
