Im going to use this thread as Hanson appreciation because comparing him to someone isnt the way to go about it.

Anyone see him completely plow Colin White last night? It was just before the Phaneuf fight and was probably the biggest hit of the night.

heard someone on TV or radio say he's not fast enough to effectively play centre at the NHL level, but he looked plenty fast last night! Hope he can continue playing well.

hanson reminds me of a young keith primeau when kp came up with detroit...........dont know if christian will ever develop into the offensive player keith did but wow hanson looks like kp did when he first came up

I'm happy that he looked good at centre. He's got the size, so hopefully he'll further develop the toughness and skill that would make him a very effective 3rd line C down the road. Some defensive acumen would also be great!

And we got him for free. Didn't even cost us a draft pick.

He's not as fast as Zajac and hasn't developed into those hands yet, but by the looks of it he should develop nicely over the next year.

I'd compare him to a poor man's Jordan Staal.
