The yellow card was during the referee's instructions, where Jackson mimed as though it was stinky, and accused the ref of breaking wind. Then he pulled out the yellow card and held it up to the official.

7 fighters have had multiple title fights in the UFC without winning the title. Who are they?

I could only get two off the top of my head. I'll leave the rest open for others.

Dan Henderson (vs. Rampage and Anderson Silva)
Kenny Florian (vs. Sean Sherk and BJ Penn)

Rizzo fought Couture back to back and lost both so thats one

Trigg fought Hughes twice but i'm not sure if Hughes was holding the title in both of those fights

Caul Uno was in the title mix too back in the day, I know he fought BJ to a draw once for the belt and I think he fought Pulver in his heyday and lost

both correct

and he also lost to Kevin Randleman when he had the title; he's the only guy so far to have 3 UFC title shots and lose all 3

Quote:

yes, the first loss for Trigg was in Hughes' first reign and the second loss was in Hughes' second reign

correct

two remaining - one has been discussed before on this thread and the second guy had as one of his two losses the inaugural title fight in one weight division

Jeremy Horn lost to Frank Shamrock way back when for the middleweight belt, then was Chuck's first title defence at LHW.

Is the other one Babalu? two losses to Chuck. I know he was champ for the second one, not sure about the first.

that's six; Horn's loss to Shamrock was in May 1998, his loss to Liddell was in August 2005

Could have sworn Dan Henderson was incorrect, remembering him beating Newton in a championship fight. But then I went and looked it up, and it turns out it was just a tournament, it wasn't for the middleweight belt - Shamrock had it at the time.

Tank only lost once.

Answer is a guy named Gil Castillo.

lost the inaugural Middleweight title fight to Dave Menne at UFC 33, September 2001
lost a Welterweight title fight to Matt Hughes at UFC 40, November 2002

Todd Duffee holds the official record for fastest win in UFC history for his 7-second win over Tim Hague. Who had the fastest win in PRIDE history?

yup, 6 second KO over Ralph Gracie.

There were a ton of other quick ones too, Aleks' fights against James Thomson and Ricardo Morais, Azeredo vs Kotani, Kang vs Ninja were all 10-20 s I think. Not sure if anyone else cracked the 10-second barrier.

Thought I'd bump this old thread for fun (you're welcome!).

Name one fighter that has fought in the UFC, PRIDE, DREAM, WEC, MFC, KOTC, and Pancrase.

The guy I'm thinking of is a Strikeforce, Bellator, Affliction, and RINGS short of a grand slam.

Hint -
Spoil:
if you think the MFC and KOTC fights suggests he's probably Canadian, you'd be right.

Yeah haha. I had a hunch. I wish I had some but I've only been watching MMA for 3-4 years now so I don't really have any trivia. Could be a fun thread to bring back though.

... didn't Pedro Rizzo also challenge Tim Sylvia or Kevin Randleman for the title and lose as well? I think he was 0-3 in title fights.

This one might be really tough ... according to wikipedia, Randy Couture has 30 pro fights, 26 in the UFC.

1) In how many UFC title fights / UFC tournament finals has he fought?
2) What is his record in those fights?

Dana and the UFC recognizes Ludwig as the fastest KO in UFC history, but the NSAC won't change their flawed ruling, so officially it is not the fastest.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order

1. Loss to Lesnar
2. Win over Sylvia
3. Win over Gonzaga
4. 1 win and 2 losses against Chuck
5. Win over Tito
6. Win and a loss against Belfort

I think he fought Rizzo & Rodriguez for the HW title but can't remember if he won or lost.
