Tim Gleason is pleased!

Karma corrected a mistake they made by allowing Komisarek to make the team to start with. Tim Gleason deserved to be there all along.

NOW I can officially cheer for Team USA again. Time to change the old aviator.

Good for Gleason and that keeps in tact the consecutive streak of a #6 Cane playing D for Team USA.

Yep. I feel bad for Komi though. Not his fault that his GM and Head Coach were on the Team USA selection committee. Unlike Johnson who earned his spot, I would put money on that being the only reason that Komi was on the team.

Good for Timmah.

I'm not a Komisarek fan but he's gets way too much bash. He's solid top 4 guy, he's a heart and soul, leader guy.

That's great news. Something to look forward to for him. And, not that I'd care either way, but with this miserable season it's not like Staal/Gleason/Pitkänen/Ruutu playing a few extra games is the end of the world.

Is that Brindy over his shoulder? Man, he's aged fast.

Gleason will wear number 4 according to the Team USA website.

A tribute to gritty veteran Aaron Ward.

That's actually Scott Walker. The nose gives it away.

Good for him. Better defenseman, imo.

That guy in the avatar thread on the Olympic forum is going to make some Gleason ones, but if you want one with a specific picture, PM me with a link to the image and I'll make one for you.

im glad he made it, as a heart and soul guy he is an obvious choice. thank god its on smaller ice though, he is gonna have a tough time keeping up at this level. his skating just isnt there. this US team could surprise, or it could be an epic disaster. i think d overall is a pretty big weakness on this squad, theyll need some heroic jim craig like goaltending.

Find me a black eye photo if you have a good one. I'd love that avatar. I'm on iPhone in training and will have trouble doing that search now.

I would have picked him over Jack Johnson as well. Glad to see Gleason made the roster in the end.

I want this picture for my Gleason avatar:

Just kidding, but Gleason and him have to be brothers or something... that's what I thought when I came across this picture:

Gleason's worst nightmare would be getting paired with Johnson.

Ah, the rookie year team portrait.

Anyway, congrats to Gleason. Good to see him getting the spot that should have been his from the beginning. If I had money, I would get a jersey. Seeing as I don't, anyone know if there'll be jersey t shirts?

No idea, I didn't see any for Staal or the Fins last time I was in the Eye, but that was a couple weeks ago, and I may have missed them if they had any, anyway.
