Halak to the Hawks

watching Halak over this last week and a half..

Chicago needs this guy

the olympics will be a good barometer on how he can play on the
"big stage".. comparable to that of the stanley cup playoffs

and anyone that says the hawks dont have goalie problems are abit nieve.. they're problems aren't as bad as some people say..

but im so damn tired of watching other goalies stand on their head and steal games (elliot against ottawa 2 weeks ago, and cam ward last week for example)..

for once can a hawks goalie steal a game... neimi has had a couple (vancouver in that 1-0 game)

but getting Halak would definitely be an upgrade

so whats his value?

although its high and rising fast..

Halak is now officially 2nd in safe percentage at .930 behind Ryan Miller...

Just saying...

You'll pry Halak out of their cold, dead hands.

esp since the alternative is Carey Price. Not that I don't like him, but not everyone does..

still 3rd but only by .002

And you'll have to give up A hell of a lot to get him, his value just goes up all the time

I believe this game pushes him to 7-0-0 when facing 40, or more shots.

What the hell do you do in our situation anyway? do you keep Price in Favor of Halak because he has top 5 potential or do you keep Halak and trade price because he's at that level

With 45 saves tonight he moved up to 2nd on nhl.com. When you routinely field 47 shots on goal against you move up quick in the leaderboard.

I would say Price is available for trade. Not Halak.

Chicago would actually be a great trading partner. Lots of size upfront that we could use.

I think Montreal would be interested in any one of Ladd/Byfuglien/Brouwer. Not sure how to even out the trade(probably add some more coming back to Chicago), but I figure that's probably who Montreal would be interested in.

i live in Montreal.. he's the better goalie and this point and shouldnt be trade

especially since he's an RFA at the end of the season.. and there are cap restrictions on the return you can get during the season

that being said, Gainey will fold to media pressures and trade him for a top 6 forward

Halak for Versteeg

You mean the Gomez deal, or the Niinimaa for Ribeiro, or the Balej and a 2nd for Kovalev, or Rivet for Gorges and a 1st, or the Pouliot for Latendresse which has worked out for both teams ?

Gomer had 2 assists tonight and has been playing fairly well as of late. Not worth his contract, but good enough to not be hated.

From Niinimaa we have that classic picture.

The latter two are of interest. Versteeg is a nice player and all, but I want some size.

kane, toews and keith
for
halak, gomez and um darche.

but seriously, unless someone pays up the arse we should have no reason to trade either price or halak. halak has been carrying this pathetic team on his back for quite a while! plus i'm 100% certain that price will be absolutely dominant in the very near future. halak will just have to lose a game for him to start his rise his glory. hah

Halak for Versteeg

Versteeg is too small. We have enough smurfs as it is.

So does Cammy, Gionta, Metropolit.... They all play big but never the less they are small and it is a problem especially when defending down low.
