They're probably there to catch Vanilla Ice at halftime.

It's great that Dion is taking no time to fit in with the guys. This team is actually starting to take an identity, very slowly.

I thought these two would clash according to everyone outside of Toronto? We're starting to build a nice young core...Kessel, Phaneuf, Schenn, Kadri, Stalberg, the Monster, Gunnar, Kulemin etc all look good and that doesn't even include some of the other good looking specs like D'amigo, Blacker, Hayes, Stef, Bozak, Hanson, Aulie, Reimer etc. We're quietly building a young core here.

Kessel and Phaneuf the most unlikely pair.

Hope they hit off, they're both going to be here for a long time it seems.

Good. Especially considering there are plenty of people out there saying both these guys had issues in their respective locker rooms.

With a young group, I have the inkling that most of the players will buy into the same group attitude and the room will be united instead of having a split here or there. I'm all for phaneuf stepping into a leadership role. If he gets everyone on his page it does a whole lot to change the attitude of the team for the better.

Most arch-rivals were best friends before they became such.

I swear if a person didn't know Phil Kessel was an elite hockey player who was on the Toronto Maple Leafs who earned 5.4 million dollars a year, he'd be easily confused for a BUM.
