Swedish youngster Freddie Petterson.
I saw him a few years ago at a tournament, and the kid played with great speed, great skill, and most of all, great heart.
Somehow (small stature, I guess) he lasted until the fifth round before the Oilers drafted him. He came over and had two good seasons on the WHL but the Oilers didn't sign him. Back in Sweden now, Petterson is having a breakout season, with 18 goals and 35 points so far.
I'm not completely convinced he'll be a big point producer at the NHL level. But the kid plays like Helm, with more skill. At worst, I see a see a Darren Helm. At best, I see a kid who plays a lot like Saku Koivu.
Here's his Elite Prospects page:

SEL players can break their contract anytime for NHL, correct me if I'm wrong. See Rickard Wallin.

they can't. but they might have outclauses for the NHL. and sometimes teams could void the contract if there's money coming from the new team.

no clue if pettersson has an outclause. he's a good player. i just don't know if he's NHL material yet.
