Please Read -- Rule Concerning Quoting Articles and Offensive Posts
Just want to run over some things that need to be done when posting an article...
1.) It's important to quote the article, as per site rules, it's copyrighted/libel if it's not. To quote, you may either use the quote icon in the tool bar, or manually
type [quote_]--> body of story here <--[/quote_] (without the underscores) with the part of the story between the brackets.
2.) It's equally important that you include the link of where the story came from. You may just simply copy and paste the link into the post, as long it's present.
Defined below, as per site rules...
Copyrighted Material (#7): Generally you can assume that anything you find online is copyrighted. We prefer you post a synopsis in your own words and the link to the article. It's permissible to quote up to 20 lines of text and you must provide commentary. DO NOT POST ENTIRE ARTICLES.
Libel (#12): Any posts libeling players, prospects, or hockey personnel. It's not acceptable to post that you heard Player X has a drinking/drug/sex/personal problem from a "good" source. Do not post information which can be considered defamatory without a link to a credible media source.
As a separate reminder, we have some members on HF as young as 13 years old. Let's be careful how certain posts are termed especially those that deal with subject matter and comments inappropriate for all ages.
