Okay, I went to Spruce Avenue, it has nice ice however it's $3.00. The ice was a little chippy on the north boards as well. It has 2 benches as well as a shack/concession.

I'm going to either the one on 113 Street/113 Ave or one in the West End my buddy has been trying to get me out too tommorrow. I'll let y'all know so we can get this shebang going.

Sherbrooke (sp?) is a really nice central rink with low traffic. I think it's either free or 2-3 bucks. Great ice, lights, nice boards, indoor changing rooms, and no one is ever there.

Also if you want to play with goalies I would maybe come.

Because I'm going to Edmonton this weekend, if the 13th would have kept the lead I would have gone and watched but the 20th pulled out the win.

Yeah, the one on 113th Ave has been closed, however I went to High Park (110th Ave and 156th Streetish) and it had great ice. I'd recommend that one for all the rinks I've gone too.

well, looks like you guys want an outdoor rink to play with the least amount of equipment, well.. theres a NICE outdoor rink out in Leduc, it has boards, proper boards like in actual indoor rinks... and has chain link fencing behind the nets, so you dont lose puck AS easy.

its free, has benches. .. if we did this we should all bring shovels .. just a suggestion

I'm going to have to drop out of this event. Blocked a shot Friday night. Broken Fibula, I'll be on the IR for 6 weeks.

The game is in 5 days, should we just go with the location that has the most votes here? We also need to decide on a time for it.

We're down to 3 now. The winning location, or a central location?

I'm thinking since the votes were split almost 50/50 between the top 2 we'll go with somewhere in between. The 113 street/113 ave one is the most central suggestion so far.

Is everyone ok with that one? I will also do up a facebook event after work (or during work) and leave it wide open for you guys to join if you'd like that extra reminder.

I forgot all about the fb event. But it's in like 2 days so nobody will forget. I went back up and read and the 113st/113ave one is closed.

So it looks like Castledowns, on Saturday Feb 20th. And I will pick like 1:00pm for the game. Take pics!

I know I for sure won't be. But the rest probably will.

...I hope. I don't want all this to go for nothing

I admit I missed it because I was under the weather. That is why I haven't been on for the last couple days.

It seems you were putting a ton of effort into something, for nothing Rin. I think you guys all along, should just say "we're going to be playing here today, come join if you'd like".

Looks like you aren't the only one that missed it. Oh well, we can try again next weekend...right?

Well, they tried that and it wasn't going anywhere so I stepped in. It's not a big deal, it's not like I drove to Edmonton for this and had it not happen.

I totally forgot about today...

I'd be down for next Sunday, we should make a Official HFOil Classic thread though. I'll have to nominated High Park on 110th Ave and 154th Street though.

Although if it gets warmer the ice gets too soft. I went out on Wednesday and the ice was getting pretty slushy on the boards.

Actually next Sunday might not be the best idea. Men's Gold Medal Game is on. And if anyone is interested, I'll be at High Park tommorrow around 1ish.
