I'm hoping Filatov gets back in the lineup for this game.

We typically find ways to beat the Horned Slugs fairly consistently, no matter how good or bad the Jackets are.

Let's go Co-lum-bus.

I'll be in Buffalo for this game (hopefully on time); heading out at noon. Hope the CBJ shake their losing streak and win this one.

Best of luck to all of you tonight. I am hoping the Sabres come out hungry since they haven't played since Saturday and that was a disaster game against the Habs.

Time will tell I guess.

Is not the roster changed after "excelent" games against Detroit and Nashville?

Edit: Put Filatov to the defense, he cannot be whorse than Stralman (and I was alwyas Stralmans supporter).

Will be there with the family and meeting up with Robert! Every game I have been to in the Buffalo/Toronto area, the Jackets have won. Expect to carry on the tradition tonight.

(Might want to put a little bit of extra security around Boughner... Toronto fans/talking heads are all over getting him as their new coach! We don't want him being kidnapped and hauled back to Laff Nation!)

I'm a huge Dorsett fan, but he doesn't belong on the second line. I know that he's there as a response to Nicki's lack of productivity--but if Nicki isn't producing, Dorsett isn't the answer. I'd take my chances with Nicki on the second line until Juce gets back. Heck, I'd rather see Wilson on the second line than Dorsett.

Not really, most folks are fond of their birth place and I still have a place in the WNY area (but so does Scotty Bowman so no big deal right?). As for Miller, yeah, I like his game and country but he can be beat.

Getting ready to head up to Buffalo from the Southern tier, the snow has stopped and it looks to be a nice day. I'll be donning the new CBJ jersey in case first team allegiance is an issue.. Will hopefully meet ScreamingWild (Wendy) and her kids at the game, tried this two years ago and it didn’t work out.

I don't have good feelings about a CBJ win, not because of the Sabres but I'm not sure the Jackets currently have their heads screwed on correctly right now-hope I'm wrong.

btw, great pictures in the OP by Sam..

Unfortunately, this is all going to depend on whether or not the Sabre's didn't get into "vacation" mode on such a long break. First game back tends to be a lil slow for any team...

I'm still hoping for a good game... or a blow out would be nice too!

Here's my calls:

Good Game = 4-2 CBJ : Ricky with the empty netter.

Blow Out Game = 5-1 CBJ

CBJ play lackluster... 4-1 Sabres

Just my thoughts on possible scenarios... I'll be listening whilst driving tonight.

GO JACKETS!

I'll agree, Dorsett is NOT a top 6 forward... but he is better than Boll. And whilst scratching Filatov, he is not hurting the team playing in that roll. He is just bringing more heart to that line, gotta love the kid.

My guess is when Filatov gets put back there (probably against Pens as AP suggested), Dorsett goes back to the 4th line.

When Juice is back, he goes on #2 line, could probably drop RJ to the 3rd line with Clark and Pahlsson or just go back to scratching Filatov... cause he's not a checking line player and he's not productive on the 4th line...

What a conundrum... but, have we ever been so "up-in-the-air" about our top 6 talent? It's kind of fun to be a CBJ fan again :-D

I like the implications of that comparison. That's all I like about the suggestion, though. G-d almighty do we need Juice back...

If we manage to find a way to lose this one, then and only then will I become seriously concerned. Until then, I'm still reserving my worries for the power play.

Metaphorically, every of us would be better than Anton. Thats why I wrote it. I like Anton so I hope it is only a crisis and he will be good soon.

But I am suprised why Clark is not HS he played bad agaisnt Detroit and what I saw he did not play extra good against Preds.

So Robert is shufflin' off to Buffalo... Better carry that flag Buddy!! Hope your wearing your red suit and have the reindeer laced up. Looks like Buffalo is kinda messy. Hope this isn't a sign.

C'mon Scott, it's snowing, it's cold, surprise me and put Nikki out there. Just do it. It won't hurt, might help.

(Note to Nik: I am formally requesting ICE TIME for you. Do Not Embrass Me or Make ME SORRY.)

While we are talking Scott, put Boll back on the 2nd line. Just because. He will help shut down the line and not draw stupid penalties.

I am not excited about this game. Odd. Maybe later?? Need some inspiration...

Jackets forwards Nikita Filatov and Andrew Murray are expected to be healthy scratches again tonight.
http://blog.dispatch.com/cbj/

What say... after bad achievments any change... if minimum Clark would be HS... mock. I am sure Filatov and Murray will not play agianst Pens etc. too.

I respect your opinion but no way Clark should be a healthy scratch. Since sitting the first two games of the season, he has been a tremendous bottom 6 guy for this team.

I don't like our chances tonight or tomorrow night for that matter. 3 - 1 Buffaslugs.
Hope I'm wrong. Go Jackets!!

Well, correct me if I am wrong. Filatov is HS FOR ONLY ONE GAME. Clark played bad still two games and Arniel has not any problem. Double standarts? And he is not alone. But every saw last two games.
Next, IMO Murray would be better in 4th line than MacKenzie. He is more speeder, he has better hockey sense and make more score chances. Mackenzie knows only defense (what Murray knows too) and bodychecks. It is all from his hockey abilities. His hockey sense = 0. He belongs to AHL not NHL.

That picture of the Buffalo skyline should have a massive snow drift in it.

First ten minutes are crucial. If the guys come out and get a goal or two, the natives could turn on the Sabres.
