I honestly don't wish bad on anyone that was traded from our team but I hope to God that Toskala flames out in Anaheim and totally bombs it. Like... just gets absolutely harassed.

yeah i think its just that ppl feel we should have had a better goalie... which is true haha... but i mean you cant expect toskala to be better... he is what he is... should we have traded all the picks for him, and signed him long-term before he even played a game on our team? absolutely not!... but thats not his fault...
Eh, it's ok. Toskala is in a fantasy world where he believed he played very well for the Leafs. He was quoted a few times saying that this season.
Very well may be, as there have been reports of him being upset by not being considered no. 1 anymore when Gustavsson was on his game earlier. Images of him cockily chewing gum on the bench as backup come to mind.

However, he may just be down on himself PERSONALLY for his pretty bad tenure with The Leaf's, putting up unquestionably bad numbers and even still having the confidence of Wilson at times, even when being outplayed by Gustavsson.
Ha, maybe it's a peculiar, particularist attitude I've noticed in some Finnish Athletes. Kimi Raikkonen comes to mind; I think he was even quoted as saying he was the best Formula One Driver because he put up a lot of the best single-lap times in specific races, and tracks; so therefore he was the best Formula One Driver although he had never won a Championship.
Maybe Toskala thinks he's got some pedigree from his AVERAGE performance in San Jose and his first season here, and therefore deserves a sort of hierarchical sonoreity in his position, despite his play. Funny thought.

To be honest people drooled over him in the first season, second he played hurt and this year he had his moments of brilliance but the team isn't ready to be in the playoffs yet. People had too many high expectations and of course blame the goalie for it when it was the team in front of him too that failed
I don't know if it was you who made it but there was a really hilarious Leafs-Flames trade one. I can't remember how it went but it made me laugh for a long time.

Toskala was excellent in San Jose.It was worth the risk to grab him - the team was terrible and although he was a part of it that was as much as you could pin on him. He was sinply a part of a terrible, terrible hockey team. The team is still terrible and will be even worse once we come down from this Blue jay like surge when the pressure is off.
Come next year we will be hit with just how pitiful the offense is. I do not have the hate for Vesa many have - he was in the wrong team at the wrong time.

That is so true. People were saying how Toskala will keep us from drafting in the top 5 last year.
