deal . . . even though Souray blows I'd be happy to get rid of both of them.

Either sub Grebeshkov in for Souray or switch in a better player for O'Sullivan.

I would prefer a better player than Sully, cuz he blows.

I'd want no part of Souray, and I think Coburn still has a chance of being salvaged, maybe not this year but eventually

This deal is alright just because we'd be getting rid of Hartnell but do you really think Hartnell will waive his NTC to play in Edmonton?

No thanks from Philly.

Souray + O'Sullivan = $8.33

Hartnell + Coburn = $7.50

Souray is an expensive older defenseman on the downswing. Coburn is a young defenseman who has already shown he can be a competent number two even if he is having a down year. On top of that he's going to be cheaper.

O'Sullivan is $1.3m cheaper than Hartnell, but Souray's acquisition washes any cap relief as I demonstrated above. O'Sullivan is a little more talented than Hartnell, but he has his own issues as well.

Not worth it.

Both those Oilers blow. Then again so do both Flyers.

I'm not ready to give up on Coburn. 24 is very young for a defenseman. And 6'5 220+ guys who skate like that don't come around often.

I'd be curious about O'Sullivan, but want no parts of Souray.

Coburn is a no go and I have no interest in Souray. I'd be happy to send Hartnell to Edmonton though.

How about something like Hartnell for Moreau+?

No thank you.

Hartnell is frustrating and I certainly don't mind dealing him, but do we have to find the worst deals possible?

As for the original post, we'd be selling low on Hartnell and Coburn. No thanks.

Not addressing any of the problems the Flyers have. They don't need another high paid defenseman but a scoring winger and this trade actually puts more stress on the Flyers cap than it releases.

The only assets the Oilers have that are interesting to the Flyers are Penner, Hemsky, Gagner, Eberle and a first round pick.

I'd much rather keep both of our players.

As much as I wouldn't be against trading Hartnell, getting Souray would probably piss me off more.

I like O'Sully due to the surname, but I recognize that he isn't good.

Souray would be a nice addition but I can't see much interest in him due to the contract. O'Sullivan is such a waste of talent, let somebody else wake him up.

Yeah, I don't get the hate on for Souray at all. I think he would be a great addition, but cap wise it makes no sense to have another high priced defenseman.

Only if I had takers for Souray and O'Sullivan elsewhere. Much as Hartnell drives me *******, I hate those two guys.
