Heard this on TVA a few minutes ago, wanted to get opinions from both Oilers fans and Habs fans. This is not my proposal, but an idea made by analysts on TVA.

Oilers have reason to believe that Eberle will be an important player down the road for them, I think they can get a goalie without parting with him.
Flip side, Eberle is still a prospect, and the Habs have reason to believe that Price - who is already an established NHLer - can be a core star player for them as well.
I wouldn't make the trade from either side. (The presence of Brule and the 2nd don't really swing things either way).
Take out Eberle and it's laughable from a Habs POV.
Agreed and I'm an oiler fan. I wouldn't make the deal as stated as I like Eberle though I would trade him for a top notch young goalie. I just have too many questions about the mental part of Prices game.
Omark, Brule and a 2nd for Price. Omark is probably NHL worthy right now with some real nice upside. Its not Eberle but I think Omark is probably the best prospect we would be willing to give up.

I don't think there is any prospect or combination of prospects in the Oilers' system that would/should get Price from the Habs. Unless it was this year's 1st/2nd overall pick. But again, goalies aren't all that hard to find, and the Oilers don't need to give up Eberle to get one, let alone the 1st/2nd overall pick, so there really shouldn't be a viable trade fit here from either side.
I do think if the Habs traded Price it would be more about an immediate return anyway, not about prospects or draft picks.
with Khabibulin (if he can stay healthy) the Oil have a few years to find a Goalie of their own or bring in someone at a lower cost to their prospect depth. For that reason no from the Oilers standpoint, if I am Montreal I would do the original deal, but not for less than that.

yeah i dont want to overhype roy but he is playing very well if he can have 3 years to develope properly we have something to look forwards to

the only thing that worries me is if khabby cant stay healthy and is forced to retire this year then i make this deal
not to mention eberle our best prospect in god knows how long...
no way he is included imo...
Gagner, and MPS are / where better prospects imo, but there is another reason it's a bad idea.
Trading for Price this year helps the Oilers win more games this year which is a bad idea, we are not making the playoffs and losing out on a top 2 pick would be all kinds of bad.
Why is this exact same thread reposted every day? O.o
At the cost of what Montreal fans think they should get for Price, he is untradable. If the Habs management trade Price for realistic value at the current goaliemarket, the fans will lynch the management. Stalemate.
And Edmonton 1st pick this year is far more valuable than Price at his current form.
No thanks from the Oil. Like Eberle way too much to do it. Same for Brule. Not sold on Price, goalies flake out all the time, though there's no questioning the potential he has. Still, we're stuck with Khabby for 3 more yrs at 3.75. What is Price going to want to re-up?
The idea of a trade involving Price and Eberle this season is absurd. EDM never makes the deal, and neither does MTL. Among other factors is the whole "Team Canada" curse where neither franchise can afford to trade a TC star for fear of ultimate regret and shame.
