This weather.com map shows much less than what's shown elsewhere. Of course this is for now to 24 hours from now. News 12 tells me 5-10 inches.

Thats just up until 10am tomorrow. So we may have already half a foot by 10am. It will still be snowing well into the AM hours of Thursday.

Well, it IS a lot less for only 24 hours. This storm ends MIDNIGHT on Wednesday. Not 12pm. That's only snow until 12pm tomorrow.

heh, it's actually 10:18 AM. Although I took the direct link, so it should update as the day goes on.

It will all stick. Surfaces are already cold enough and the temp will be dropping as the day moves on.

Definitely the worst part of snow storms. Yeah it's all pretty and white...until it turns yellow and brown.

NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED. Bloomberg made an anouncement.

This snow will be all white, no slush what so ever.

Models keep coming in juicier and juicier. This one will go down in the record books.

anybody know when the last CUNY closing for snow was? any chance this happens for Thursday? Ive got a ridiculous schedule Thursday 10-9pm, and it would rock if I could get out of it.

What are the chances I won't get screwed on Thursday trying to fly out of LAG? I am guessing flight delays are going to be outrageous.

Your screwed...The entire airport will likely be shutdown tomorrow. Which means Thursday will be a mess as well.

If you're wondering what a better source is, go to the NWS/NOAA page. They are the ones who put out watches/warnings. Government.

agreed.

Its ridiculous how the local news channels spike up the paranoia.

I hate Weather Channel. Its never accurate. This one seems to work for me. http://www.intellicast.com/

If we get 2 feet..the game will 100% be postponed since the city would likely go into state of emergency mode, which means stay the hell inside and don't use the roads. NHL can't allow a game to be played in that.
18-24? Come on. What a joke.

Why would they postpone the game if the fans can't go?

Has that ever happened before?

Only valid reason I can see them canning the game is if one of the teams can't make it. There's 41 home games a year, it's not a big deal if some fans cant make it to one of them. What about the fans who are here on vacation or what not and are leaving tonight and can't go to a later game?

Haha, yea I think that may be reaching just a tad....

I think when it's all said and done we will have about 13-15 inches though, which is still a ton of snow.

Because some fans actually pay 60-200 bucks for tickets and don't have money they can just throw away like that. This isn't like 10 bucks we're talking about here. I spent 80 bucks a pop on tickets for tonights game and have 3 seats. So 240 bucks. I don't have 240 bucks to just throw away. That's why they SHOULD cancel the game for the fans. Its not about the damn multi million dollar players. Its about fans like ne who work two jobs and go to two games a year and spent my hard earned money on these seats.
