You're thinking of Markov not Bergeron.
Bergeron is a horrible passer, he telegraphs every pass.

His shot will be missed!

That sucks. Bergeron hasn't been scoring as much lately but opposing PKers have to respect his shot and it opens up more space for the other 4 guys on the ice. His presence is going to be missed.

Spacek hasn't really had a chance to man the other point with Markov on the left point during the PP. I've watched Spacek play that role rather well throughout his NHL career so I'll assume that the original plan of having Markov/Spacek on the point is come back.

Markov can make anyone look pretty good over there, so I'm not too worried...

Bergeron really did a good job for the Habs but teams really started adjusting to him and taking away his one-timer and for as good of a shot as he has, he really has trouble making decisions with the puck when he's rushed...so i'm hoping Spacek can fill in the role he was brought in here for.

My point was that it's not a "real" 6 weeks considering the Olympic break. I know that he will still miss many games.

More often then not though in the last few games he just bobbles the puck at the blue line and it goes out. If you cut off his lane he is so easy to defend against because he has terrible passing skills.

I think it would be the best time to call-up PK. I wanted him to spend all the season in Hamilton, but there is a nice opportunity for him.
In this thread yes
if you read the GDT every game loads of people are up and down him for being poor.
Yet dont realize why he is really on this team

I don't know about that...he can pass the puck IMO. I just think that when pressured, he doesn't posses any poise and rushes his decisions or more often than not, gets caught trying to do two things at the same time.

It's always been the issue with MAB...he's a good offensive dman, but when you put a little pressure on him, he panics

Markov-O'Byrne
Hamrlik-Gorges
Spacek-Subban

Gill and Mara could find takers. I'm not giving up on Spacek till I see him play on the left side. It will only happen this way, or with Mara.

Apparently, Pouliot could be out for a long period of time too.

That doesn't matter. We won't be going into Tampa before MAB gets back so broken glass during games will get replaced quickly.

Its a team of small players that have to play hard, which leads extra injuries, on top of those freak things, like Markov injury.

Very possible...

but something is sure. The Habs NEED bigger forwards on every lines.

I honestly couldn't care less. Bergeron has been less than average in the past month, his honeymoon is over imho.

My soul is connected to Bergeron. My left knee is injured too, and it happened on the same day at about the same time!

...

Ok guys if you kill me Bergeron won't die, it doesn't work that way. Sorry

oh really? he doesnt have to score on the PP to be effective? so what do we need him for? to cough up puck at the blue line, trip over his own skates, watch him hilariously trying to skate backwards.

It's very simple Gainey said last summer he went a signed players that were not injury prone. Gainey created the jinx.

How the heck to these two foot tall players injure their knees? I can see someone like Pouliot or O'Byrne but the small guys?

I agree. Sergei was good on the PP for us last year, and this year he has hardly been on the ice for any PP time. There are few on our current team with better vision than Sergei.
