I get it and this is no fluke since it is the way the Coyotes have played all season, but it is a tight rope walk. I'm still going to play contrarian just to stir the pot. If you have the focus you can do it every night. If you ever lose focus you'd better hope there is a net to fall into.

This was telling, to either end -

Not many teams can score 1 goal in 3 games and get 4 pts like Yotes just did, but they need to get offense going at even strength & on PP.

See, that's just not true. I'll play contrarian again. The Coyotes have been winning without scoring all season. The Coyotes aren't hot. They win when they play their system.

The minimal scoring is not going to hold up against the Sharks Hawks ect.
The Coyotes have played remarkably well during the regular season against those same teams. The Coyotes make the Sharks look mortal in the regular season by getting in their face. I have no idea what this group of players can do in the playoffs, but if the past is any indication the Sharks do not perform well in the playoffs when a team gets in their face and under their skin.

If we can get a guy like Plekanec without betting the farm and losing a top prospect I'll be happy too.

I think Mueller & Boedker's situations are very different. Mueller came out in his rookie season and played well enough to be included in the Calder race. The guy looked like a lock for a long NHL career as a top 6 scoring forward. Then, well... things changed.

Boedker hasn't lit up the NHL or the AHL so far. I just don't think he can be counted upon to provide much a spark this season. I hope he proves me wrong.

The regular season isnt the playoffs.

Things that matter most comes playoff time:

1. Goaltending
2. Goaltending
3. Defensive system
4. Depth
5. Veteran experience
6. Goaltending
7. Offensive snipers

Right now the Coyotes remind me of the Oilers circa 2005 / 2006. A pretty deep hard working bunch playing as a cohesive unit with a solid D. That team did a lot of damage. They had Ryan Smith leading the pack with 36 goals in the regular season, and 3 20+ goal scorers: Torres, Stoll, Horcoff.

Smith was to that team what Doan can be to the Coyotes. Granted, they had Pronger on D. But I'd argue our defensive depth is better.

I'll take our chances.

I agree with what you said but you left something out. We need some more grit. I am not talking about a fighter either if we pick someone up they need to be able to play and withstand the beating. The playoffs are just a different game and teams just beat the hell out of eachother. We have a few gritty guys already but not enough of them.

That's a good point. Other than Jovo & Doan we don't have anyone that'll really wear a team down with physical play. Bissonette doesn't count, I don't see him getting a ton of minutes in the playoffs.
