Would you be interested in an HF NHL Draft Party?

I am trying to gauge the interest level of a possible NHL draftday party. It is in the planning stages right now, but we're looking at holding it in the bar of the Lake Forest Bowling Alley (right at the El Toro Y). It iwll be open to everyone, but primarily will be Kings and Ducks fans. We could get a good rivalry going, maybe some Ducks v. Kings bowling, a raffle, etc.

Anyone interested? Anyone have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

I'd definitely be interested. It would be cool to meet all of you!

Although the drive may be a problem for me. heh... I'm up in Ventura.

Something like that. It's near a Del Taco, IHOP, and Coco's. Get off at Lake Forest Dr. My girlfriend's father manages the place.

It's a bit of a drive from Burbank, but not too bad. I'd definitely be interested in going.

But...invite Ducks fans? Yeesh! Of course, it IS Orange County.

I have to agree with 5-Hole. I'm all for this, but let's do it in Los Angeles (at least the right county!), more centralized for Kings fans to make the trip.

It's not strictly a Kings fan thing.

It is an HF thing, so I'm trying to make it centrally located for LA, Orange, and San Diego.

DFA is right about the central part. We have posters from San Diego , The Inland Empire, LA and OC.
DFA has the hook up there, so we know we can watch the draft uninterrupted and have some fun and Sports bar we go to it probably going to have Baseball on
I can tell you it is very freeway accessible and right on the 5/405 interchange. It shoudl be a piece of cake. I live very close and I can tell you it only takes me about 45 minutes to get to Staples

I have no excuse not to be there since it's 10 min from home. I also hate to admit that is where our Sunday afternoon Bowling drunk league is. There's not alot of seating unless they bring in more chairs, so I recommend getting there sooner than later. It's on Rockfiels between Lake Forest and Bake. Both off-ramps will work.

My girlfriend's father manages the place, so I can pretty much ensure that things will be taken care of. I'm going to go down there sometime this week to check the place out and see what I can do to set something up.

The major problem I see so far: the draft starts early in the morning. How many people are going to want to get up early in the morning on a Saturday to go to this?
