Yea I can understand that but being the fact that I hate the Jets almost as much as I hate the patriots, you can see my anger about this. And the fact that I hate Rex Ryan almost more than anyone in football other than Tom Brady. The guy talked so much crap about my dolphins and yet could not back it up, twice.

Gotta love Sportscenter. The only hockey coverage of the entire hour was 2 minutes dedicated to that guy on the telestrator diagramming Rex Ryan's gut.

At least they were right about something. Rex Ryan apparently lacks a belly button.

I was pretty impressed with the Canes ability to gain the blueline on their power plays last night, and it made me think that maybe I've been more happy with that aspect of the PP lately. My specifics could be a little off here, but it seems to me that it all happened when Corvo went on IR and they turned the quarterback reins over to Pitkanen. That's when we started seeing the patented Pitkanen-->Jokinen option begin to cash in with regularity.

I noticed that they have developed at least one wrinkle to it (or perhaps last night was the first night that I realized it) and they ended up going with that second option in about half of their entries last night. They send two forwards down Jokinen's side, Jokinen moves in between the opposing players and the other forward stays outside. The key to it is that Pitkanen is ready to pass as Jokinen initiates his move to the inside. Maybe based on film scouting, the opposing D is now moving in with Jokinen, leaving that outside forward open for the pass.

Gaining the blueline on the PP is not something that you can take for granted, so it's nice to see that they're having success there.

Looks like it got swallowed up by that massive gut.

According to these folks, the Canes have about a 1% chance.
They also said we had a 0% chance a couple weeks ago. Since we now apparently have a 1% chance, you really can't put too much stock into it. If we win the next couple games before the Olympic break, that chance will rise.

Or to put it simply:

Ya, who knows? Maybe it'll go up to 2%!

Not sure if any one else heard him, but JF was on 99.9 before the game last night. He said that press row was going to be filled with other teams scouts checking out if what we had was any good or not... I am really surprised we haven't heard any trades go down yet because they were sure to be pleased with what they saw:

Gritty Vet AWardo- 1 assist and ended up a +1

Stephanie Yelle- also 1 assist and a +1

Erik Cole- exceptional mojo for any team

Obviously the only reason that makes sense why they aren't all gone yet is that they are in such high demand that JR is still fielding insane offers that just keep getting better...
