Besides that, I think there's a decent chance this ATD goes a bit longer than the regular season schedule, in which case you do get to likely add a Ross and Richard to Ovechkins resume (not now certainly), and then I think he's impossible to deny.

As for the deal, waaaay lopsided. I want to see it put to vote- and then have it vetoed. Work out something fairer.
If that's what you guys want, I suppose we can't argue with it - I just want to make it clear, though, that markrander proposed that trade to us.

I get your new markrander, but I'd suggest looking at some of the other deals before rushing into a move like that. For example, I just moved up 23 spots to lose 37 spots later, in around the same ranges you did. That's about fair. There are some dang good players available in the 6th- 24th is pretty much scrubs.

If you guys decide to have a vote and veto the trade that is fine with me. I know it was a steep price, I wanted my guy and got him(for reasons already stated), but that being said if it does correlate to an issue amongst the gm's so be it

We'll have an opportunity to rework the trade if the other GM's feel the need to reject it.

AO isn't a bad pick. I'll be honest - I was thinking of making him my pick before trading the pick away. I think AO's defensive issues are overblown (he's no XXXXX or XXXXX), but any line with AO on it can't go against the best lines of its opponents, which is what I want from a line with Sid Abel and Gordie Howe on it.

I think the deal is pretty crazy too. If any trade is going to be brought up for a vote, I would say it should probably be this one.

I can assure you I proposed a trade to Jarek.

I can assure you I didn't proposed THAT kind of a return for the pick.

One of these days I'm gonna start my team with three centers and make Keon my 3rd. I think that would be deadly.

Wow, I don't know. Could be super deadly, but then there's the problem of having enough ice time to go around.

Keon would be the best 3rd line center of all time, though.

I don't think you could get enough defense then though.

I think that would be deadly too. I always have since I saw canopener's team in the last ATD at leafs central (Believeau, Clarke, Nighbor).

Those 3 weren't deadly, they were death itself.

well, if those three centers were Clarke, Nighbor, and Keon, that's a lot of defense right there.

bossy, pilote and benedict were from skipped picks.

imo, keon is too good for 3rd line.

How many picks were made before those ones were made up?

Ideal shutdown center. And he'd provide more offense than almost any other 3rd liner.

His offensive output is actually pretty underwhelming for a 1st/2nd line. He's only a 1st/2nd liner because his overall value warrants it.

veto'd/demand re-working

see draft rule:

Trading is to be reasonably fair and balanced and lopsided trades will need to be re-worked or dropped.
re-work it on the Part II thread

(that the offer came from a newbie is reassuring)

I picked Bossy with the pick after Jagr, so instead of 23rd as listed, he would've went 29th.
