Oilers Autograph Session

The Oilers autograph session is coming up this Saturday, from 1-2:30. Has anyone seen a map with player locations yet?

Also, is anyone else planning on going? Hopefully everyone that does go takes a bunch of pics to put in this thread afterwards.

I think we all should boycott it. It would be kinda awesome if no one showed up. As the team has been doing for 3 years.

Other than Hemsky's line-up, which was insanity, it was decidedly less busy last year. Not quite pre-lockout levels, but still, fewer people.

Vishnovsky and Grebeshkov won't be there either.

That would be fitting since they never show up for their games.

So in other words...Horcoff's line (depending on who he is with) should be fairly short? I'll be there first, then hopefully hit up a few other tables.

I'm super excited, this is my first autograph session thing!

No, line up for whomever you think will have the longest line. Get there early (like 9 AM early) so that you're near the front, get though quickly, and then you can hit some of the shorter lines in the remaining time.

They usually put the map on the website and in the papers the day before. Make friends with the people you're standing in line with, then they'll hold your place and you can leave and scope out some of the other lines to figure out where you want to go next. And make sure to check the signs and ask the people at the tables (before the players get there) in case of any last minute changes. I'm still pissed about the year I got there super early and waited in line for Hemsky, only to find out right before the players showed up that he'd injured his shoulder and wouldn't be signing anything.

The signing is on Saturday and the Oilers play the Ducks on Sunday. Lubo and Grebs will be at the signing (they won't be leaving for the Olympics until after Sunday. )
I will be at the signing and I agree with the other poster's who said arrive early (9am). I was there at around 8:45 last year and was 3rd in line for Penner and Souray. As a result I was able to make it through 3 other lines. (Cole-Brodziak, JD-MacIntyre, Nilsson-Strudwick).
That being said I will be there at 9am at the latest again this year.

Yah depending on whose autograph you want, arrive pretty early. I think I was there at 9:30 ish for Hemsky/Gilbert and had a pretty good spot in line. The year before though I was there an hour or two early and actually only had a 30minute wait for Gagner/Staios. But some players will have pretty short lines even an hour or so before.

THAT early?? Damn! I have a 3 hour drive

Hopefully the map comes out earlier and i'll be able to see who is at Horcoff's table with him. If it looks like it'll be busy I might take Friday afternoon off work and go from then.

If it's just Horcoff and like Stortini or something, 1 hour early should be plenty. I hope!

Think anybody would sign a "Fire Lowe" sign?

I'd like the MSM taking pictures of that one..

Haha, I don't think you'll have much of a wait in the Horcoff line, if he's with Stortini, I'd assume more people would be going to see Stortini.

My first table would be wear ever Ladi Smid is.

I wonder if Horcoff would autograph a check I took from his house. Then I would spread the wealth around

I doubt I will have much of a line/wait either. I offered to line up (around 9am) for a friend in Grebs line. I hope he is paired with somebody I'd want another autograph from (Khabibulin, Vishnovsky,Smid, Brule).
If Grebs isn't with any of those player's I will probably ditch my friend when he arrives and stake out another line.
