#69 (back to basics edition): sharks @ dallas 17:30 (that's basic-ally 5:30, get it?)
stars (not us)
stars (duh said that already)
csn ca basic def (what, you didn't get it the first time?)
puck goes in net (their net please)
Brad "Doctor" Watson #23, Chris "Beak" Lee #28
Watson is senior. Watson is an above average skater, Lee is an average skater. Both are moderate callers. Watson is weak on game control, Lee is average. No score calling from either. Both tend to swallow the whistle in the third. Minimal advantage to the home team from Lee, none from Watson. Both have good safety ratings. Watson and Lee are average in calls generating 5on3's.
(no videos, much too un-basic)
this gdt has been brought to you by the letter W and the number 2 (why, i don't know, because i've attended each of the last two games in person and i didn't get to see the sharks get either of these)
Thereís a lot of things wrong with this country, but one of the few things still right with it is that a man can steer clear of the organized ******** if he really wants to. Itís a goddamned luxury, and if I were you, Iíd take advantage of it while you can.

Going to the game tonight, of course. Should be fun.
Not expecting much of a turnout from the Stars "faithful," not nearly as much as the first game here in Dallas in December. The Stars are basically out of the playoff hunt and nobody cares one bit about the team anymore for this season from what I gather. Doesn't help that Modano is out indefinitely (that's what they said on Dallas local TV news last night, now I see 1-2 weeks) now, even though he isn't the star anymore, his name is a household name here.
Last game in December I was really fired up since it was my first Sharks road game, first game in Dallas since moving here, and a good game between teams fighting for the playoffs.
Today I am not as pumped (but will get there when game time rolls around). Doesn't help me that the weekend was an embarrasment against non-playoff teams and I fear a repeat tonight.
The only legitimate reason I can think of is that the organization absolutely intends to hold Pavs for the rest of his career(or a significant chunk of time), and rather than give the C to Boyle for a couple years, then take it from him to give to Pavs, they gave it to Blake as the "next best" option, that will be gone in 1-2 years, such that in 1-2 years time, they can give the C to Pavs.
