Even though Price let in a couple of questionable goals tonight he also made some great saves..The Habs deserved to win this game..It would have been better if it was in regulation but I'll take 2 points any way we can get them...Sergei was a force tonight...

Sergei, Plekky, Gomez, Markov, Gill... those were the winners tonight.
I understand it is the Caps and they will get goals. But the 4th and 5th goals were inexcusable. Sorry but when your team needs to fight for every single point to get in the playoffs and you let garbage like that in, you need to be called out. It's especially bad for Price considering there is another goalie outperforming him for the same job. If he wants to be mediocre he can sit for all I care. At least Halak battles.

I get it, Halak wasn't playing so you just followed the box score. No shame in that, just say so.

Not naming names but 1 of our goalies played a team that has won 14 straight games, and won, and still gets bashed while we another one of our goalies played a team that lost 10 straight, and lost, and everything is fine.

Hm.

About the Caps, this team doesn't have the D, nor goalie to go all the way to the final dance of the playoffs. I don't think there will be many 6-5 blowouts in the post-season.

Such an exciting game though, dear god. So happy to have beaten the Capitals, I hate them.
I don't hate the Habs. Probably because they are an insignificant team in the NHL landscape. Maybe in a few years if they are decent I might hate them.

Stop whining people. We just beat the ****ing Capitals with a completely depleted lineup. Be happy for once.

Yeah you got me there. I am one of Price's biggest supporters but what do you know? I can tell you have the intelligence of a dust pan.

On the plus side, Kostitsyn plus a missed offside gift by the officials.

Downside, it doesn't need repeating, almost everyone knows what the downside was.

It passed under his stick, the stick that was supposed right on the ice. On the 4th one, he looked like a freaking clown. He made some nice saves but he let some softies. He didn't redeem himself with the nice saves though. Not in my mind. The dude isn't focused enough.

Honestly I thought Sergei as been playing quite well since he returned from his injury...

Do you watch other games in the nhl too? Im just wondering. Watch the highlights where Brodeur, Miller and Luongo are in net. Believe me I DID and there WAS PLENTY of so called weak goal similar to goals Price let in.

A guy who's strong play went unnoticed tonight since he didn't hit the scoresheet was D'Agostini. He's starting to shoot more and he made a nice play to set up Metropolit tonight, hopefully he can build on this game as we could use some secondary scoring.

Maxwell has to be sent down though, call up White for the Philly games please.

I'm just happy Price got a win, but for sure he was rusty. Im glad the team won one for him. He had his moments. I still come back with Halak though.

Losing games we should win and winning against teams that are molten hot. Funny stuff.

Hope all goes well for Gorges. Though I think Subban should get a chance now (Carle injured and Webber was meh).

Price may have let in some softies. But against the Caps, he did good, not great, good.

what... a... game...!! disappointed with the officiating but whats new there...

Sergei was flying out there, some really sweet passing.

The only goal that was a little weak that Price let in was the one right at the end of our PP. It wasn't a great game, but it certainly wasn't a bad game on his part.

What a freaking game though, wow!
I'll buy this.

I feel really glad for Price, we've got a young goalie who might be suffering for confidence, throwing him to the wolves vs. Ovie et al... this had potential to be a coffin-nail job but he made several tough saves and he comes out of this with a W. Good for him. 5 goals yes, but one was a brutal turnover, two was a tic-tac-toe stated by Spacek getting bulldozed, one a clean faceoff loss and zing on the PP, a fourth set up by Hamrlik's turnstile job and the late one a tip/cluster job. At the risk of sounding like an apologist, it's hard to say Price was that bad. Several good glove saves and a key stop on Fleichmann on the late PP. Don't know if I'm feeling soory for ihm, but after each goal against I kept thinking 'why doesn't this team try to play better than this when Price is in.'
