Moreau was effective enough for the scouts in the crowd. Expect a deal soon.

Slow night on the boards. Those last 2 minutes had upsetting offensive depth. I wish we had names on the ice that could make a difference. Why was Pisani on there missing the net with the others?

Hopefully Moreau's efforts get him shipped out quicker.

Wow did the Ducks ever suck tonight and we still lost. Hopefully they play better when we face them on Sunday, especially if Vessa Toskalol starts.

On the bright side the PK is getting better. Moreau improved his trade value a little and the winning goal was a lucky piece of crap.

Moreau and Pouliot looked good at least. Pouliot has looked like a player since coming back.

I mentioned it in the GDT.

dantencer Oilers get a bench minor following the goal for unsportsmanlike conduct. They didn't like Wisniewski tripping Strudwick after the hit

Not at all. Losing this much is depressing. Its hard to look for positives in that game. Three two on ones against on one PP. One shot on goal on a two minute five on three. Five left hand shooters on the pp? Its a lot of things, fun doesnt come to mind though.

The only reason we care that we lose--we know that the leafs are in free fall and soon the canes will be as well and that 5 pts gap we have could vanish quickly with one or two wins

I don't know, they played pretty hard and still lost, hopefully they don't have much left in the tank and LA takes them to the wood shed. IMO the Oilers best chance to win will come in the rematch with Anaheim on Sunday.

Moreau may have actually played his way into a trade tonight. Please, please, please. I can see a few GMs calling Tambo in the near future.

Now if only Horcoff can have a strong night at some point.

This is the most wishful thinking you've had since Trogdor.

The positives from tonight, the Shorties, Moreau scoring and playing well-ish, and finding out that the Stars and Flyers have been scouting the Oil for 3 straight games. That leaves me to believe that a deal is coming, atleast one, before the Olympic roster freeze sets in.

Horcoff in the offensive zone is like Elton John at the playboy mansion. He ain't scoring and he isn't really looking to.

Did anyone notice Deslauriers staring down at the ice at the end of the game instead of looking to the bench?

It's 7 points against the Leafs and 9 points on the 'Canes. The Oilers won't be winning that many games and will finish 30. Still think the Oilers will draft 6-10?

Maybe, but I was pretty high on Mikhnov for a while there after Dragan

Schremp too, although I may not have been wrong on that one.
