Don't know if this was posted (from Brooks's twitter http://twitter.com/NYP_Brooksie):

Quote:
Brashear accompanying Rangers to Pitt. When he clears, could very well remain with the club. For reference see: Rissmiller, P.
NO. I want him demoted to HFD as a precursor to a termination, dammit!

That's gotta be an awkward flight for Brashear to be on.

They're probably going to recall him in hopes of someone picking him up off re-entry.

How many more free agent signings does Sather need to make before he gets his ass fired? Let's look at the signings from the past few years and how they panned out (minus Gaborik)...Gomez (gone), Drury (awful), Redden (really?), Rissmiller (no..), Voros, Kotalik (Zherdev please?), Brashear (every Ranger fan on the planet was against this from day 1)..am I missing anyone?

This Brashear signing sums up Slats more than any other signing. He gave out 1.4 mill to a goon, a goon that every Ranger fan hated, a goon that the players on the team hated for what he did to Betts. Now they're stuck paying him 1.4 million when the fact is that little Brandon Prust is a more effective player/fighter.

None of his signings work out, except if he somehow swings them for other players. Pathetic.

Seems like Uncle Larry is trying to incite panic that Brashear will be with the Rangers for the time being.

Rissmiller practiced with the Rangers for a few games after he was waived but was assigned to Hartford about a week and a half later.

Hopefully him getting waived is setting the stage for somebody to claim him off re-entry waivers. I'd gladly accept a deal to do that similarly to how we bailed out Dallas with taking Avery off their hands for half price.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle...

They are both ineffective players that won't help in any of the teams problems.

So the roster freeze is at 3pm tommorrow , if he clears they cant even put him on re-entry till after the Olympics no?

also if he is sent down this year does it NOT count on the cap but it does next ?

So Sather signs a backup goalie who sees a shrink and had confidence issues, a 38-year old over-the-hill enforcer to a 2 year, 1.4 mil contract... How does he keep his job?

yea? well one would battle to the death for his teammates, whatever his shortcomings as a skater were he still is a 1000 time better teammate than huggy ever was or is! I hate Orr haters because its the same bs about him, can't skate well he knocks out people and guys like Cursirillo wouldn't get away with the crap he pulled with Gabs, just ask Fedoruk!

I would find it hilarious if Sather knows there will be a taker and gets lucky again by getting rid of a mistake...cross fingers
