This is an NHL forum full of people who breathe hockey at a time of a rare trade affecting our team happened. If you want to relax I will PM you a URL for a home knitting forum.

Not in a season, but in 61 games in Toronto. He was traded to Buffalo at trade deadline...

It's not about losing a 2nd round draft pick. When you hear Bob McKenzie say that Cullen can be had for a 2nd, and we get Dominic ****ing Moore instead, that's when I feel there's a right to complain.

Well, we do need a shutdown line. 55% is much better than anyone else we have taking a faceoff.

Moen - Moore and ?

I won't give him a chance, I'll already bash the trade. I know a lot more than Pierre Gauthier, Moore is garbage, I would have done a better deal than Gauthier. Screw Dominic Moore.

At that point Moore was having a good season.

Now, he's having a garbage season, and we paid the same price.

PK Subban is a 2nd rounder
PK Subban hasn't stepped on an NHL rink yet. Everyone needs to RELAX and let the trade play itself out. It doesn't look very good at first sight but then again, there was just as much Italian panic around here when Price was drafted.

at everyone ing because we sacrificed a 2nd rounder to cover one of our biggest flaw : bottom 6 scoring and grit.
Moore is not a top 6er... however on the 3rd line, he can bring the contribution a guy like Higgins is bringing to Cgy right now. For way cheaper and maybe with more grit.

McKenzie said on air the other night, here is a link to Dreger's column where, and I quote:

"Meanwhile, Canes' centre Matt Cullen has at least four teams interesting in his services. Carolina general manager Jim Rutherford wants at least a second-round draft pick for Cullen."

Why are so many worried about a 2011 2nd rounder?

The scouts are saying the 2011 draft is one of the weakest ever...who cares, obvious rental and maybe a lead into something else.

Moore was traded from Toronto to Buffalo for a second rounder so I'm not sure why people are saying the Habs overpaid for him.

A 2010 2ND ROUND PICK!!!!!
A 2011 2nd Round pick is equivalent to a 4th or 5th round pick this year.

For a 2nd rounder this year. Next years is probably a whole different story.

Why? Metro has been amazing for the Habs.

This is ****ing ridiculous, what's next? Keith Tkachuk for a 1st and Kristo ?

Still, a little less writing, a little more thinking would do wonders for most on this board

This is the truth about Moore, he does have good speed and is decent in the face off circle plus he is ufa and we can let him walk if things don't pan out. Laps or Metro out in another trade more than likely though.
