No one can't stop our future 4th line grinder!

Obviously this team wants to make playoffs.... and we will finish 11th with another Paradis type pick.

Paradis was the 27th overall pick. Sutter, on the hand was the 11th overall pick. Yeah, you can never get a good player at #11. Nevermind he's like #6 in NHL scoring from that draft behind Kane, Gagner, Voracek, Perron, and Simmonds.

Not to mention Kopitar going at #11 in 2005...

Yeah, you can NEVER get a good player with the 11th best player in the world born in a particular year.

And that lack of prep seems to always track with a deep postseason run the year before. 2003, 2007, 2010. I have to think it is a part of it. But thats no good excuse, lots of other teams play into June and still manage to pull it together enought for a quality run the next year - albeit after the Cup hangover to start for the champs. Our hangover just lasted way too long (and was exacerbated by injuries and other things) in 07.
