Failed comeback attempt 2.0, same old Sabres

Another failed comeback attempt oh and let's not forget we just said goodbye to first place in the division.
The Good
- Derek Roy, for the most part he was our best player tonight
- Goose, he is one of the few who show up everynight
- Tim Connolly, was good for the most part
- Ryan Miller, if it wasnt for him we don't even get a point tonight

The Bad
- We lost to one of the worst teams in the league again
- We handed Ottawa first place in the division
- Tim Kennedy, I want Tyler Ennis!
- Adam Mair, hes just so fricken useless and a waste of a roster spot

The Ugly
- Everything else... oh and Rod Brind'Amour

Yikes, just enough said.

same old sabres

weak defense, no flow to the offense.... we'll be lucky to make the postseason. The olympic break is timed nicely, but sucks that Miller will only get more work..

I'm just sick to my stomach. The late goals against, scrambling in the d-zone... im speechless and in physical AND mental pain

The Good:
-Tallinder-Myers
-HCP
-Roy
-Goose
-Miller sans....

The Bad:
-...the one softie he let in
-Vanek and Mac
-Not playing Sekera
-Kennedy and Mair in the lineup
-Apparently inconsistant play is the only thing that is consistant with this team

The Ugly:
-The Montador f'-up behind the net
-They aren't tied with Ottawa and have completely blown the double-digit point cushion they had.

I keeping thinking we finally hit rock bottom, and then we manage to find a new low. Maybe when S.J. smears us on Saturday that will be the end of it?

Rested Miller for a whole 10 minutes the entire trip.

EDIT: Also, he let Montador board the team plane in the first place.

Yeah, he also told Regier to build a team around Connolly and Roy, told Regier to acquire a prize acquisition in Montador, told Sekera and Butler to SUCK compared to the prior level of play, asked that Vanek stop scoring goals in high quantities, and asked Kaleta to stop being physical and a pest.... amongst a slew of other things.....you guys are lost.

Stop taking the easy way out and blaming the ****ing coach. Different coach, same results, and that's a GUARANTEE.

Actually, not to take their side on this, but I believe Lindy DID tell Kaleta to tone it down pre-injuries....

I can tell you that the person that ask him to do that was not Lindy.

Let's go Regier put Montador on waivers and call up Weber!

We can utilize that 1.55 million somewhere else.

easy there, I'm not blaming Lindy for everything... just pointing out some mistakes he's made.

Used Miller for all but 10 minutes of it. That were this epic fail began. Lalime should've gone back in vs San Jose or Vancouver, but Ruff will NOT use a backup to break a losing streak and in this case, that coaching decision helped this thing snowball

what's up with this team and 2 goal leads? every time they get one they blow it. then again, that's been their forte for the past 3 or 4 seasons. even when they were a top team in the league I remember them giving up a lot of 2 goal leads, but back then they had the firepower to come back from that.

You do realize they have to still pay Monty, right? The Sabres don't care about the salary cap, as long as they still have to pay his salary, they won't use 1.55 million "somewhere else".

there's a Lindy Ruff quote that I love....

"If I thought hitting led to winning, I would tell them to hit more"

Lindy Ruff doesn't believe in winning through attrition or through the physical aspects of the game, wearing teams down, being "hard" to play against.

Lindy believes in execution of simplicities
