That was the 4th straight game that the Oilers have beaten the Kings in LA by means of a shootout.

I was out at a pub watching the game here in Calgary, and as the shootout went on, more and more people gathered around the main tv to watch. There was actually cheering when Lubo scored.

That just MIGHT have something to do with the fact that the Flamers are desperately trying to latch on to a playoff spot and L.A. is but one of the teams in their way.

Meh, the Kings are 9 points ahead of them now, they should worrying about hovering 7th/8th now for the rest of the year.

Maybe, although I'm not sure if Flames fans could stomach cheering for the Oilers, no matter what. The guy sitting next to me had an Oilers touque on (I was wearing an Oilers T-shirt. We high-fived).
