let's be reality, that wasn't the kovalchuk trade, it was the bergfors trade. all the offense is coming from our young guys now which is really exciting.

and bogosian only sucked a little. we're hard on the kid but he's still an almost guaranteed franchise player. max looked very good tonight too. maybe he wants to stay here next season. i'd be up for bringing him back if it's not for bad overpayment. kulda looked solid for his first nhl game. a couple mistakes but also bailed out bogo a few times. looked good

a little concerned about how invisible peverley has been since his shortie a few games ago. he does seem to score in bunches though so hopefully he'll be hot down the stretch. kane, bergfors, and little are scary good lately. good game. get a point tomorrow and i'm happy

Peverley has been more defensive lately, as well. That could also explain it.

Love the clip of JA on the highlight reel at the end saying "What the F--"

Great to hear. The trade really wasn't as lopsided as a lot of people think. Bergfors is going to be a great player for you.

i know it likely wont happen tomorrow night, but i'd like to get Kane with Peverley again, with the way the kids playing, he might be able to get Pevs going...get slats back down to 4C since he's downward trending these last few games and award Marty with 3C minutes.

Kulda looked good in limited minutes..seems like a heady player, bigger than i remember too

if we can get Kubina to re-sign for fair market, that D is looking NICE for the coming seasons.

his D game definitely lacks a bit, but the effort has been there...hopefully that comes with experience..JA used him wisely tonite, increased his minutes.

yeah Slater is quickly turning back into Jim Slater after inheriting some Peverley magic for a few weeks.

Glad to see the team get the W tonight. Minny is not an easy place to win. Bergfors with another goal and that line just continues to click offensively. Looking forward to seeing what the team can do tomorrow night?

I'm glad to see Bergie is doing well. It seems like Anderson is giving him more freedom. Lemaire had a leash strapped around his neck. He chewed the kid out for taking a bad penalty after he had 3 point night in Pittsburgh, and eventually banished him to the third/fourth line.

Watching the replay, and I honestly cannot figure out why Armstrong was called for that slash as he carried the puck in (first period, about halfway through). This is not just me complaining about the refs... I seriously don't see the penalty.

Army intercepted a pass, skated it to the wall, and the Wild player was next to him and dropped his stick. Army's stick was on the ice (with the puck). How could that be slashing?

I'm seriously asking, if anybody knows.

i've always liked Oduya, he's a perfect 2nd pair guy thats gonna fit this system nicely..his presence also allows Bogosian to play on the bottom pairing with less pressure...kids gonna be a good one down the road, but we cant heap too much on him just yet.

Nice. I have loved Johnny since he broke into the NHL. I have his jersey. I'm glad that Bergie and him are doing well. Hopefully both sides will be happy with this trade.

Kovy scored for the first time tonight. Did you guys see it?

Edit: Here you go...

I'm glad Bergfors is playing well. You'll be hard pressed to find a Devils fan rooting against him.

Kovalchuk finally scored for us, maybe eventually he'll have as many goals for us as Bergfors has for you. There's nothing that can really take the sting away from losing your franchise player, but I really hope that Bergfors, Oduya, and everyone else that you get from this trade plays well, they're all good guys (yeah, even Cormier )

I wish I could watch some Thrashers games, but they are never televised in Canada...I have a question regarding Bogosian...he had an unbelievable start last season and again to the start of this season...what has happened since November or December? Did he overachieve or was he put in better situations than he is now? I have him in my pool and I was so excited to get him that I moved some good players to get him...now he has 1 point in I don't know how long since I got him!! I don't care about my pool, but I expected more out of him and I am curious what has been happening with him...thanks in advance.

He played injured in November and December. He was also been put in situations that were a little above his head.

As time passes, he'll get better. He'll learn from his mistakes eventually. I'd just call whats going on now a "speed bump."

As a Devils fan it hurts to see Bergfors doing well, but I'm a big supporter of him.

He has the potential to be Petr Sykora, but when Sykora was good.

I shed manly tears when Bergie left. I hate Kovalchuk and Lemaire.

Salmela-Oduya is a fine deal though.
