What about Miroslav ''Turtle'' Satan , he wants to throws punch with his gloves on at Downie but when it came time to fight, he became a f..... p.......

Did he took fight class with Bobby Nadeau, the guy who was beaten up by patrick Roy son ??

Satan's hand was injured on the hit by Downie, he couldn't fight with it. He'll definitely miss the next game and maybe some or all of the Olympics.

The B's had a great Play-by-Play guy before Edwards, what happened? They had one of the best duos in the league. I like their color man though, he's good.

Jack Edwards is a terrible homer. Only reason I can put up with it is that some of the sayings he comes up with is hilarious. Ex: Knee seeking missle.

Boston Bruins forward Miroslav Satan suffered a cut hand in the first period of Thursday night's 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum and did not return.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said Satan suffered the cut just before a brief altercation with Tampa Bay's Steve Downie

Downie's such a fool. Acts like he's going to go, and then as soon as he sees he bit off more than he can chew, he's looking for the refs to bail him out.

It was also reported somewhere but I can't find it right now. They wanted to add some excitement to the broadcasts, an over the top homer playing off a straightman is pretty much the formula in Boston.

only option s trying to take down the beast... with his wingspan, no way downie would have even had a chance at landing a punch.

well , he has a pretty impressive list of bordeline hits ... and now what, you punch chara in the back of the head after a clean hit and we are supposed to feel sorry for him when chara finally and rightfully snaps out? its a shame the fight didnt last a little longer...

God those announcers were annoying. They acted like Downie was an innocent bystander being brutally beaten ala Rodney King. Downie was the ***** that was shoving and then punching Chara in the back of the head. Downie got what he deserved, an Ass whooping. If Chara's one hand was healthier, he'd probably have buried Downie 2 inches below the ice.

Exactly. Players like this are becoming a dime a dozen. Don't hit the giant in the back of the head if you don't want him to retaliate. The refs saw what Downey did, so they let Chara have his fun. I also agree the announcers were pretty lame, acknowledging the hit to back of Chara's head, but Downey did nothing wrong... bah whatever they're just announcers.

I know there are a lot of other Boston Bruins fans that don't like Jack Edwards, but how can't you like this commentary?

"Oh, man, the big guy is just unloading"! Ha, ha, Downie says 'where am I? Mommy, help"!

Downie was shoving him but he never dropped the gloves, say what you want but he got layed into when his gloves were still on.

Unbelievable, he pushed, shoved, cross checked in the back Chara, got smacked around and then he was *****ing to the refs because they didn't jump in before.

Boy I hate that little puke, it's a missed chance to see him finally receiving the ass beating he deserve.
