Clearly he should have sat on his hands. CLEARLY.

Jesus people I'm the last person to defend Slats, I want him gone but lets save the overreaction until we find out what the pick is ok people?

San Jose picked up Shelley for a 6th round pick from the CBJ's in 2008. Bet it's about the same.

two views from the Sharks' board

so his fighting skills are being questioned, but his leadership skills aren't. we could do with some of the latter for sure

I wonder if we'll see McLaren up now, or they'll just stick with Murray+Clowe to get the job done.

Looks like Sather used the chloroform on himself this time.

How long is the flight from San Jose to Pittsburgh if Gaborik doesn't dress tonight?

Shelley is a guy who has the reputation for sticking up for his players, something the ranges obviously dont have. I like the move as long as its around a 6th

Worked for Burke's Ducks a few years back. Skill on the top 2 lines and physical big players on the bottom 2

Do they mean a "pic" and not a "pick". I mean, why would a non-playoff team trade a commodity for a pending UFA 4th liner unless some incriminating "pics" were involved? Seriously.

I would dispute the guy that said he isn't a good fighter anymore. He'll still win more than he loses, against legit heavies. He's not Colton Orr, and he may not be what he once what, but he's still a feared fighter.

Flyers just announced that Carcilo has flu like symptoms .... might miss the Ranger game.

Im fine with this deal if its not too high a pick ...tells Brash to shove it and makes us harder to play against....anyone know what Shelley's contract status is..will he be here next season or is this a rental?

It better be for like our 6th rounder in 2025.

For that matter, what ever happened to those future considerations in the Jessiman deal?

UFA after the season. So he's a rental or Slats gives him a 3 year deal.

Unnecessary move. I don't care if we have a true goon on the roster or not. Bottom line is that we should be sellers, and sellers don't trade draft picks.

They were probably jack **** if he never made the NHL.

What happened to our conditional pick in the Antropov deal?
