Dogs vs Barons Game 1

Marcel Hossa puts the Dogs up 1-0 Hossa 1 (Perezhogin, Beauchemin)

Damphousse in nets. Milroy playing well from the sound of it, with a few shots. Ferland and Thinel are playing as well, but no Robinson or Archer. Perezhogin with a few shots as well. Vydareny got the play started on the goal with a dump in. Dogs have been taking to the Barons, outshooting them 17-5 in the first.

It's early in the 2nd.

Rimouski getting shelled 3-0.

Cote got in a fight, but sounds like he got beat up. Had to leave the box to get fixed up. Dogs on the PP but couldn't get one. Cote leads the dogs in shots with 3. Barons to the PP now.

I emailed sportsjuice who hots the dogs radio, and they said Hamilton never booked the time with them. Last year in the playoffs it happen several times, and I had to email them 3-4 times to get the games. This time around I guess they won't just put the game on, so I've been listening to the barons announcers, but be warned, they might put you to sleep with their play by play.

Also Barons goalie is stopping everything. 35 shots so far.

Stat sheet

http://www.theahl.com/SlamScoreboard/ahl-frameset.html

Plekanec with 3 assists. Things heated up a little, Perezhogin shot a puck into an open net after the whistle. Carkner (former Hab pick '99) went after him. Then a few plays later Gratton and Carkner mixed it up, Hainsey jumped in, Dogs get a 5-3 PP.

Final score 4-0
Final shots 46-17

Perezhogin, Thinel, and Gratton each had 4 shots.
Beachy had 6
Ferland, Milroy, and Cote had 3.

Nice to see Thinel and Milroy contribute in the POs

Damphousse was the tender.

Anyone here live in Hamilton and SAW the game? Anyone know what Plekanec's 3 assists look like? Were they real setups or he just made a simple pass and the goal scorer made it happen?

Nolan Scheafer seem to be apettry solid goalie . He beat Toronto in 1st round , and Toronto always kick Dogs ass . Let's hope they keep firing and keep the shots low and takes the series with a perfect record

One play wouldn't make you physical or not physical. He didn't fight or hit Carkner, just stood up for Gratton, so Carkner turned and faced Hainsey. Nothing happened after that, refs stepped in, Carkner went to the box.
