Saw a picture of that guys leg this afternoon. Looked like a trussed turkey. Gross. His quad didn't entirely reattach so its pretty amazing he's skating.

You'd think more people would be cut with those gigantic blades and those compact groups

Couldn't find it. But it was the healed up version, and its amazing with the way that injury looked that he is still one of the best in the world.

What happened to Celski?

I am scared of researching because there are all these spoilers for the upcoming race... ****ing NBC.

He sliced open his quad on a spill in November and this was his first race since that injury. 60 stitches.

The Olympic Committee lost their way when they set that track up. The Olympics are inclusive and when you make a track that only elite of the worlds best athletes can survive in one piece, then you lost to point of competition.

Now luge is a sport I can undertand. No weird contact penalties as in speed skating, no judges giving syle scores, just pure speed.

They jump around, so the finals for speed skating and moguls will be on in the next 20 minutes or so I'm guessing.

I have to admit that I look forward to you post more than anyone elses just because of that Avatar.

This luge track is too short.

How does one get to be a bobsledder or luger? It's not like there's a Malibu Grand Prix for sliding. Does uber-rich daddy give you a sled for Christmas?
