Women's Snowboard cross (Since you were watching the hockey game, I assume this is on later some time in the US)

Spoil:
Maelle Ricker, **** yeah! Also Lindsey Jacobellis has like the worst luck ever. Well, ok Torino was her own stupid fault, but for it to happen again must suck horribly

LOL when NBC did the interview for that one Russian ice skater, they used the menu music from Gears of War 2! I burst out laughing!

What's the deal with the alpine snipers?

Are any nations deploying such troops during war?

Kings Doughty in awe of Olympic team mates and a few other pieces of wisdom from (current and former) SoCal Olympians.

Anyone else watching teh Fin-Bel game? Doesn't seem like it needs it's own thread, but figured I'd check here.

unless there was overwhelming demand, I figured we didn't need GDTs for non-Shark games.

I want more women's curling!!!

But seriously, curling is like the greatest Olympic sport ever. You can see hockey outside the Olympics, but curling (at least here stateside) is only on during the Olympics. I love it! I got hooked on it a couple of Olympiads ago and I can't get enough of it!

She will be remembered as an example to all future Olympians that showboating does not belong at the Olympics (or any championship for that matter).

Imagine, if she never wins that Gold she will go through her life with all that regret, brutal.

As an American I was extremely embarrassed at her behavior. It's an incredible honor to represent your country in the greatest of international competition and her lack of respect for that will probably cost her for the rest of her life.

Yeah, I've been digging the Curling for several Olympics too. I wish there was a place to curl around here.

I enjoyed watching it a lot during the last olympics, and now again. I think there is a curling club in the Bay Area that gives lessons, but I've always been too lazy to look into it. I kind of want to do though, it looks like it would be a great beer league sport.

True, it raises both his awesomeness and Curlings awesomeness. Have they shown him at all being at the games (I assume he's there)?

Well, heck, I might sign up for one of those introductory clinics. And the leagues aren't very expensive (especially compared to playing hockey).

JR on NHL Live Vancouver All Access this afternoon.

JR addressed Milbury conflicts (might get to a arm wrestling contest).

I think you should be allowed to drink while you curl... like bowling. If that were the case, I'd be in a league right now.

From a variety of Twitter sources:

RW is "riding" Miller through the tournament and will go with Quick as the backup. (So Thomas will be in the press box, apparently.)
