Did he say this is titled "Feats of Endevour?" Is that like the Feats of Strength in the Festivus for the Rest of Us?

while we're having a discussion of Shania Twain vs Sarah McLachlan discussion, can I interject with something that's actually olympic related? I've seen her in Canadian team crowd shots but can we get a "mmmmmhmmm" on Kimiko Zakreski?

I mean, seriously, who'd have thought that you could combine Japan with the Ukraine and end up with a top flight Canadian snowboarder? Plus there was a bio piece on her for the olympics and she listed her favorite foods as sushi and perogies. I find that awesome for some reason.

Zakreski?

Isn't that one of the defensemen that we'd like DW to pick up?

I'd say the Artistic Director let in a couple bad ones he'd like to have back.... but I think this has been a really cool thing to see my Canadian brothers and sisters pride in their country and heritage ... even Peter Pan on mescaline in punk/metal lumberjack was cool!

regarding the poet, he's from the northwest territories. The general working theory is that in order to live in one of the territories, you've gotta be a little flaky unless your family has lived there for generations (like if you're of inuit descent or something). That ought to explain the neckbeard (btw it's hard for me to follow along since I'm trying to do this from memory)

You're a good sport Nem. I appreciate the translation of culture. ....the newfie lumberjack comment had my sides hurting though. I don't know how anyone can live in an area that gets a few hours of light and a few hours of dark depending on the season. I'd go nuts.

Hey Nem, the last time I was in Vancouver, the Gas Lamp district was a mess. Have they cleaned it up yet? (The time before it was awesome)

For all you know, Nem could be a newfie lumberjack! He might be in flannel this very moment!

I feel like the speech was building up to something big, but then was anticlimactic.

nah, that's the other side of the country. And newfies are weird. You know the gypsies from Snatch? Picture them, but obsessed with fishing and maybe a touch more Irish. There ya go.
